Aleem Ul Haq Haqqi

This guy is my last best memory of reading a Pakistani Novelist. Used to write for JAssosi and Suspense digest and in 1997 came out with his first of 3 searies novel Ishq kaa Ain which was a major hit. I have not read other two from that series so i was curious to know how the other two novels were, has anybody read’em?

Re: Aleem Ul Haq Haqqi

I dont know if Ishq ka Qaaf is out yet.... But... Ishq ka Sheen is not even close to Ishq ka Ain.... its good novel.. but.. if U compare it to the First one... its no comparision at all.

I used to like him so much as well.. coz of some of his novels.. but... When I read DAJJAL..... it was a sudden shock for me... coz... he Wrote it like its his novel.... jabkay wo tha naheN.... Dajjal is scene to scene copy of the old movie THE OMEN... he changed few things in that... it was realy sad to have such attempt by such a great writer.

Re: Aleem Ul Haq Haqqi

Thanks for your opinion. Yeah Haqqi even though produced that great masterpiece in Aishq Kaa Ain, seemed a bit below par at times, his very first claim to fame through in summer 1996 when he wrote one story for either jassosi or suspense, i think the name was "Kaarr-e-Mussalsal"which was an absolute rip off of famous back to the future series of Michael J Fox.
