Alcoholic

My question is, if someone was an alcoholic in their past, or like a binge drinker, and decides to do taubah, is that enough for getting baksht? Or do you have to accept Islam all over again, considering alcohol is haram and one who tastes it is deemed Non-Muslim.

Re: Alcoholic

Making a formal Taubah with an honest intention of not doing it again is enough.

Re: Alcoholic

ok thanks :) and lets say the person doesnt plan on ever doing it again, but for one reason or another does do it again, then what?

Re: Alcoholic

when he/she realises the mistake again, then, repeat the Taubah step again and make the intention of not doing it again...

Re: Alcoholic

ok. thanks.

Re: Alcoholic

isn’t that catholic style :konfused:

do whatever you want and then repent.

Re: Alcoholic

why are y0u askin this questi0n?

Re: Alcoholic

the tobah has to come with the intention that u will not do it ever again. And the reason why we can say tobah again is because we are weak human beings, and are prone to making mistakes.
