It was forbidden back then when Namaz was considered to be an important practice of religion and people tend to forget to attand to Namaz when drunk. Now that we know that Namaz is not something to worry about and rather leading a peacefull life and contribute to the good of human kind. so, as long as you don't go beyond the limit I don't see any problem with drinking Wine, Beer or a drink of your choice.

Re: Re: alcohol

Your use of word “we” represents what? Are you a Queen or something representing your country, like Queen Elizabeth?

There is already some ongoing disucssions on alcohol, like **here**. Check them out.

Re: Re: Re: alcohol

I did not open this thread, mate… I know there is another one out there.

Sher >> Where does it say that you dont need to worry abt and not read namaz??
Are u a muslim by the way??
And regarding my post abt Jinns, dont u dare diss my grandad, he's passed away (Allah jannat naseeb kare). I was refering to my cousins grandad.

First of all,,, I reffered to a Human and that can be anybody's grandad and didn't mean disrespect to any body....
Regarding Namaz, what is the purpose of Namaz? I in today busy life how can you find time for that. isn't it more important to look after your family and work and earn to put food on the table? It may be possible to practice Namaz in countries like Saudi Arabia but it is not possible in countries like Britain or Finland. Why does God have to force people to do things like that which are incompatible in todays environment?????

Folks this discussion was supposed to be about 'alcohol'. Sher's religious beliefs, or lack there of, can be better handled via PM or a different thread.

Please read the article on " Alcohol, Synthetic alcohol and denatured alcohol" on www.muslimconsumergroup.com/Food Ingredients/New.

i know im derailing.. but just regarding Sher’s thought on how hard it is to offer namaz in Finland or wherever..

sure, its better to take care of ur family and show how much u love them and others.. but u should still be able to pray. Its not hard to pray if u make the time for it.

and.. duas do quite a bit of looking after as well :flower2:

I've heard worse like if I fast during Ramadan, I am going to starve to death and simply die.

Astagfarullah!
May Allah guide us all on the right path

Alcohol wasn't forbidden because of namaz... there are so many reasons and one of them is because Allah Almighty said so.

You going to argue with Him or just 'submit' to His will?

If HE did not want you to argue and try to find the truth HE wouldn't have created you (If HE created you) with the ability to question. It seems uterly stupid to have a blind faith. I mean Quran it self is full of contradiction and it is based on the writings of 100s of years before Quran was composed and most of these writings were myths to begin with. Rest of the book is specific to the region of its origin and does apply to the rest of world.

Qur'an was revealed to confirm what was revealed in the past and it was revealed to the last of the 124,000 Prophets.

Allah asks us to question our existence, not rebel against him. That means look for what our mission is in life not denounce Him for creating us.

OK Brother!

alcohol wine and the things like tht r totally haram..no question abt tht...

Hey chalna,,, You are cool..... waht is Qadiyani? I don't give galis to muftis,,, I only think that they are hypocrate and tyrant. they love to rule over people who don't use their common sense and opt for a bilnd faith. A mentality which gives the Muftis an upperhand. Of course I don't think religion is an ultimate truth. I can point out numerous contradictions in the Book. See,, the problem with blind faith is that one would never learn the truth. truth can only be attained with unprejudiced approach. BTW, I don't accept EVERTHING which Islam prohibts in fact I prefer to use my common sense.
