If my memory serves right, alcool was banned in islam after some folks didn’t show up for prayers. Afterwards, an ayah was sent banning alcholhol.
So my question is, if Allah is omnipotent as claimed, surely he could have antipcated alcholo’s effect on human beings? right?
or did i get that story wrong somehow?
Re: Alcohol & Islam
alcohol was banned after battle of Uhad, several things are banned in islam after a period
Process is called weaning - e.g u dont need to be a doc to know that breathing by urself is good for u rather than by a machine.Yet u dont take people of ventilators just like that ! u need to wean them off
Re: Alcohol & Islam
so when christians convert to islam, does islam give them a "weaning period" to lay off alchocol or is it banned from day 1?
Re: Alcohol & Islam
^ u know the answer to that, I think u need to understand the nature of revelations to semitic Prophets
nowhere is it claimed that religion was perfect from day 1, but its claimed to be perfect after prophet finalized it.
Re: Alcohol & Islam
prophet finalizd the religion? i thought it all came from Allah. Or maybe was Allah an imaginary friend of the prophet?
