Recently a friend and I have been exploring a few hotel investment opportunities here in the UK …
One of the major things I cant get around is the alcohol, most customers are gonna be western/european, arabs and indians … all of them want booze..
When it comes to the restaurants in the hotel, I think its manageable not to have alchohol or a bar … but having a completly alcohol free hotel is seeming like an impossible goal at the moment …
anyone from the hotel management background here? or anyone who might be able to share their views on this matter?
You don't have to have a bar in a hotel. Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Suites and certain Marriotts don't have a bar, or even a restaurant. Maybe that's just how it is in the US.
