Alcohol and Swine!

I just ran unto some uncertainties. Alcohol is prohibited in Islam, its manufacture, trade and consumption. Is it the same with Pork? Can a muslim sell pork or products that has pork in some shape or form?

Please reply with references to Ahadith thank you!

Lehm-ul-Khanzeer is haraam to eat, as per Quran.

It means, that a muslim is prohibited from eating the meat of pig/swine. I don't believe Quran goes for any further prohibitions on pig meat.

However, there is a rule that if something is haraam, stay away from it, whether in small quantity or large quantity. Hence, the inference is that a muslim should have nothing to do with pigs, unless ofcourse you are killing them, either for hunting as a sport or for protecting your life and property.

Just curious, is hunting for sport specifically addressed in Islam? Is it allowed?

Ofcourse it is allowed. So is fishing, horse racing, and pretty much any sport which involves skill, stamina, physical fitness etc. The only limitation is that the sport should not unduly risk your life (to the point of almost suicidal) or where you bet your money on luck (and not skill).

So does this mean a Muslim cannot do business with all the things that in one way or another use lard?

Thank you Ahmad Jee for clarifying my question! Thats what I was asking and I wanted some answers with some references!

The Qur'an puts a simple dietary restriction on eating "meat of pig".

It doesn't say whether farming of pigs is haraam too or eating vegetable pizzas cooked in the same oven are haraam etc etc..
