Any Alamgirians on GS?
Sarai Alamgir se kya yaad dilaya @SindSagar saab. A long time ago when things were pleasant in Pakistan, I used to go for a lil dip in the upper jhelum canal that runs near Sarai. The water was too damn cold on summer afternoon, along the banks were mango sellers and watermelon sellers. After the swim we would stop by and devour a few mangos.
Ah Yes, me too a long time ago they used to make us run 10 miles along the canal bank, but never had the pleasure of swimming in the Ice Cold Canal water though! I did swim once in a Canal near Sargodha! the cold water leaves you shivering even in the middle of the summer. I remmember the good old days!
