A new US govt report says some major attack plans by Al-Qaeda were foiled in 2003.
It says there were plans for hijacking planes from Heathrow, attacking London, while US, AUS and Italy were also targets. Along with Karachi, and the US consulate there.

the intelligence agencies have to be right all the time where as the al qaeda have to be lucky only once to achieve their goals

Their counterparts in UK had solid proof that a chemical attack was imminent and that the raid on a hous in london was the tip of the iceberg. Two weeks later nothing. Guess what the incompetent police officer who led the raid and in the end had to release the two brothers without charge having seriously injured one of them got honoured in the queens birthday list.

Al qaida is a menace that is here to stay. The only thing we can do is keep taking out its Maulanas and their leftie cousins. Just keep on putting them away in Gitmo, or other gad-awful places to be named as Litmo, or Kitmo.
