Not tried myself, but people we know have said that it’s ‘OK’ but then they were comparing it to Nawab in Manchester.

There is also Ma’idah in Blackburn who do a buffet Fri/Sat/Sun - we went there last weekend. It was quite good

Thanks so much , Nawab is losing quality.. wonder if this Maida is reasonable… we really lack good food in the UK.. is bthe blackburn maidah a branch of manchester wala maida?

Don’t know about Almaida but I have been to Nawab few times. I have heard Sanam is a good restaurant that is located opposite of Nawab.

Nawab is definitely overrated .. they made their reputation when we didnt have much choice in buffet dining in Manchester .. but now we do have a few choices , unfortunately they all suck ! The food quality generally is quite low in the UK .. indian food kai naam per dhabba !

i have heard sanam’s reviews , its a smaller buffet but I hear , its better then nawaab , though its expensive !

anyone tried that stockport road wala buffet recently? I think its called al Walis ? I tried it three years ago , was horrid then , recently online reviews from gora’s say its a nice place .. but I wanna know from us desi lot if it is worth going to or not :hinna:

I was at Nawaab yesterday-I love it but then I’m a fan of their starters.

Whereabouts is Al-Maida?

Also is there any other Buffet places in Manchester people recommend?

We go Nawaabs for most occasions and really like it .. I havent been to the manchester al maidah but I have been to the blackburn one .. I personally didnt like it as much .. there were not a lot of variety of food .. If there is any other good buffet places please let me know

I heard Al-Walis is quite bad quality in regards to the price hike. Also they have a limited buffet.

My husband recently ate at the Karahi and Charga place on Stockport Road. He loved it and said the prices were really good; very affordable.

Personally I like to have nibbles of everything so not sure if the above works for me.

SoniPari-Nawaab was manic last night! Won’t be going again in half term-ever! I love it too. It might be overrated (I don’t think so though) but dammit their lamb dishes are good. Oh I love their starters too. I did a detailed review on them recently.
