^wouldn't it be nice for us to learn to respect someone who's offering sound advice, I wonder sometimes!
Even though I'm not a pro-niqaab, I believe women should have the freedom to wear it if they feel that's the right thing to do. Stripping someone of their freedom is what worries me more than hijaab/niqaab/abaya/shalwar kameez. And banning a practice that's so closely associated with Islam in a university based on this very religion seems a little out there to me.
Re: Al-Azhar University to ban niqaab in all of its educational facilities
That's because it's "associated with", but not "rooted in" Islam.
Apparently, people joining Lashkar-e-whatever in Pakistan is also associated with Islam, but don't tell me that Islamic idealogy supports their actions.

first lets define good advice... I don't consider condescending bakwaas from a self-righteous beardo with a saviour complex (and he's not the first one and certainly won't be the last) good advice...
let me first see good advice... then I'll consider the respect part.
Re: Al-Azhar University to ban niqaab in all of its educational facilities
PCG the reason I chose to write associated is because most scholars believe niqaab is not a requirement in Islam, but it is recommended. I do not consider myself more knowledgeable than a scholar of Al-Azhar University, but to take away the right to wear niqaab in an Islamic University is not right IMO especially when it's not harming anyone whereas people joining "lashkar-e-whatever" are usually guilty of that. I'm amazed that you'd actually compare the two!

dude to be honest, that's a LOT of judgement on your part, I didn't see anything condescending but to each his own. Good day!
