Israel, has started excavating at the al-Aqsa mosque, which has provoked Muslim anger.

I usually shy away from starting new topics, but this story which I have been following for the past few days or so, I felt it deserves some discussion because of its significance.
I often wandered, do the Zionists & extermist Jews desire this land and what are their plans for it. please share your thoughts.

Olmert ‘rejects ending al-Aqsa dig’
Israel’s prime minister is reported to have rejected a call from his defence minister to halt excavation work near Jerusalem’s most important holy site.

On one hand Israel says, work is necessary, and on the other they began work without consulting Muslim leaders, all seems a bit dubious to me.

its all part of psychological warfare and violence that Israel inflicts on Muslims!

I still dont understand why they hate so much a group of people that only opened up their arms to their most dire of hours.

just hope in a couple of years, it doesn't "mysteriously collapse."

i think the israelis should bring in the egyptian and jordanian archeologiests and engineers to work with them to aleviate muslim fears

Especially if you take into account that excavations have been happening by Israelis since 1969.

Merc thats a good idea, Egyptians are renowned archeologiests, however the question is, is the current work necassary ?
This decision was only for muslim leaders to make.
