One of Bollywood’s hottest stars came to perform at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club in Lahore to take part in show that brought love and a message of peace from across the border. Royal Palm has become a centre of exciting activities offering world-class leisure and entertainment to its members and their families. This time it went a step ahead by creating history by hosting a spectacular star studded event.

The convergence of approximately 1,200 people at the Gardens of Royal Palm was the first ever Bollywood star studded sold-out live concert which proved that quality entertainment programmes are not only sought after, but also well attended. The giant draw was due to the successful and proven combination of music maestro Jatin Lalit and the legendary Akhsay Kumar and Shilipa Shetty with the genius public relations work by the Royal Palm team. The addition of popular singers Hantanu Kherjee (Shan), Sunidhi Chauhan, and Abul Supriyo hottest

sensation supported by an extraordinary orchestra and a young group of dancers made the programme a tremendous success.

There was something for everybody at the show and directors of the show could not have scripted a better desi masala mix. Originally the biggest event of 2004 hosting the Concord Cup, which is a golf tournament, held between Delhi and Lahore that would have followed by a mega star performance. The cup got delayed but the show went on. This mega event was a way of promoting peace and goodwill between nations. Entertainment Workx, a Delhi based event management along with J&S events of Pakistan organised the show.

Moamar Rana, the heartthrob of Lollywood opened the show along with Omar Sharif. The host of the night was none other then Sajid Khan, who had just flown to do us the honour of hosting the show. This evening started with Ahmed Jehanzeb’s beautiful voice. In total 80 people from across the border performed. But the highlight of the show were Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty, who gave two breath-taking performances each along with Asparit Kaur (Mehak) a hot newcomer in Bollywood. Ali Zafar a great new talent also represented Pakistan on stage. He sang in his brilliant voice an old Indian movie number along with Shaan that proved that no Pakistani singer is less talented then any Indian singer. Both Pakistani singers along with Omar Sharif gave every Pakistani a reason to feel proud as they performed to their best ability. The show was expected to be three hours long but it went on for more then four hours where the singing performances of singers made up two third of the show, but no one was to complain as the night was full of excitement.

The only thing that the show lacked was the lighting. Rather then the lights being on the stage they were on the audience. But other then that the show was perfect in every respect.

Every sequence of the show was beautifully placed in the show. The dance sequences by Shilipa and Akshay, the powerful voices of all the singers and the melodies music by Jatin Lalit mesmerised the audience. It was a joint effort on everyone’s part that put up an excellent show. The stars didn’t disappoint any of their funs and people got their money’s worth.

Don't mind me saying it, but Shipla's dress is making even Reema looking all dignified and regal. And Akshay is looking as if he has just been released by the cops after a drinking binge. But I guess, thats how popular icons of Bollywood like to appear in concerts.

The visit by Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty was no different in terms of charm and charisma, until Shilpa went ahead and did the unprecedented - she kissed the Pakistani flag, taking her audience by surprise.

Shilpa seems a little bit uncomfortable... why are her arms crossed?

The GameResponds:

        * :rotfl: . People, That Is All.*

Does the Indian Government kick all these people out? :halo: In ko apnay mulk mein koi kaam nahi hai…? Anyways good gesture of freindship… Waisey I dun think kay koi Paki kabhi Indian flag ko kiss keray ga… I dunno maybe Ajnabi4ever :stuck_out_tongue:

May be she kissed the white portion of the flag which represents minorities that include Hindus.

jk. No communal violence in this thread. I think she kissed the flag to make a point to Akshay that he is not kissable. She was teasing him.
