‘Akram’s family involved in betting,’ says bookie
Pakistani bookie Muhammad Younus has claimed that cricket
team skipper Wasim Akram's father Chaudhry Akram and
brother Nadeem are involved in betting and match-fixing,
according to Ali Sibtain Fazli, legal adviser for the deposed
Pakistan Cricket Board. Fazli was quoted as saying by The Asian
Age on Tuesday: "The bookie, for security purposes, has asked
for in-camera proceedings and stated that Wasim Akram's father
and brother had been running a betting house in the garb of an
import-export business."
