Akram to retire

Wasim Akram has announced that he would retire after next year’s world cup, adding he hoped to help Pakistan win as a parting gesture.

The 36 year old has claimed 414 wickets in 104 tests and a world record 459 wickets in 331 ODI since his career began in 1984.

But i wish he can complete 500 wickets in ODI.

that will be a Big record in Cricket History.
and hard to break.

Lets see he still have lot of ODIs to go.

Inshallah he’ll reach his 500th.
Will be very hard, but hope he’ll do it.

459 wickets rightnow and if he plays 47 more games including the world cup then he can easily get to 500. Wicket a match.
Wasim also mentioned that if India's tour to Pakistan is confirmed in April then he will stay on for that series as well.

sorry to tell yu this but he said even if India visits pakistan the very next day of the world cup final he will still not play.

With the amount Oneday being played these days I dont think 500 will be hard to beat. But still it will be good record.

I hope a great bowlers ends his career in style.

Well played Wasim. !!!
