I long for the day when it will be okay for Indians and Pakistanis to be coaches of each other's teams. Inthikab Alam being the coach of the (Indian) Punjab team was a good step in this direction.

I think coaching in Indian punjab shouldnt be a naive thing, since 56% percent of Pakistan population and culture is not different than Indian punjab, by means of traditions, culture, values and language. Most of Pakistan cricketers could be good coaches in Indian Punjab. Similarly, Imran, Afridi, Younis, Gul, Zakir Khan, Yasir Hameed, Arshad Khan could be good coaches in Afghanistan.

I think coaching in Indian punjab shouldnt be a naive thing, since 56% percent of Pakistan population and culture is not different than Indian punjab, by means of traditions, culture, values and language. Most of Pakistan cricketers could be good coaches in Indian Punjab. Similarly, Imran, Afridi, Younis, Gul, Zakir Khan, Yasir Hameed, Arshad Khan could be good coaches in Afghanistan.

Similarity in culture is a not the issue here.
The important thing is the fact that a Pakistani **could become a coach of an **Indian state team.

What is Wasim going to tell Pathan? Akram himself has admitted so many times that 90% of the time he would just throw the ball not knowing what it will do. Akram was 100% natural talent. It can not be taught or passed on. Akram is just time pass with Pathan and make Indian girls happy so he can pass on his real natural talent to them.

Yes and Sarfaraz Nawaz is from Marathi culture.

Similarity in culture is a not the issue here. The important thing is the fact that a Pakistani **could become a coach of an **Indian state team.

Culture and traditions does make it easy for you to teach any one, any trade. You get to know most of the players temperament, you enjoy their company off the field, and you get to know inside out of a team. Plus you have extra motivation to stay with such a team in such a tradition.

On a serious note Marathi is spoken in Maharashtra. Indian players whose names end in ‘kar’ like Gavaskar, Vengsarkar, Tendulkar etc. they all come from Maharashtra/Bombay/Mumbai :k:
