Apparently, Wasim Akram along with Rashid Latif, Shahid Afridi and Yousef Youhana are the three players who are forcing Saeed to delay his annoucement as they want him to continue till the World Cup.
But as this article says - Saeed himself is a proud man who has always said that he will retire with grace. Saeed's never had a prolonged bat patch and he always comes back with a big 100.
But I think Saeed has decided that if he doesent get runs in the next game - he's going to step aside and leave the game with honour.
I personally want him to continue because he is still our best player and a real team man but whatever he does I will respect his decision and miss seeing him in action for Pakistan.
I will be happy if he retires after ICC champiosn trophy. Personally I think he is one of THE BEST batsman but I think he should retire with grace and respect and give more time to religion. I think he is done with cricket its time for him to say goodbye. Along with him Waqar (booray wala express) should retire too.

While I agree to this to an extent, I am actually horrified at the prospect of having "tulla" openers on BOTH ends. With Saeed, atleast there is a proper batsman on one end, and we can experiment with Afridi & Co on the other side. If Saeed leaves, we may have Afridi and Imran Nazir opening together... phir tau hamaree team ka Allah hi maalik hai.
