“Home away from home” series ![]()
That is your view and you are entittled to it. However, from cricketing point I hope Wasim Akram learns a lesson from it and also Pakistan should bar all Indian commentators from commentating on future matches during Pak series.
^ For one, I am not sure if restrictions have been put on Akram/Pakistanis since Akram is still involved with KKR. This could be another media conspiracy theory.
*And if at all restrictions have been put, it also means that Indian govt will not allow India team/cricketers to play in Pak. So Pak putting restrictions on India has no meaning *:)
As of now, I dont think Pak is in a position to put any restrictions since no one wants to play in Pak anyways...
I am commenting on your original post :) Read my post again...
read what I have highlighted up there and than please quote where I have talked about the Indian team. Maybe you dont realise but cricket team and commentators are two different things.
I know but under the circumstances that is the best we can do and remember I live in England so I don’t mind having Pak home games there. ![]()

Thanks for pointing that out :p
However, narkumar's post quoted below talks about all sporting events & your response to it sounds like if India bans Pak sportsmen (past/present), you would want Pak to do the same. In that case its not just commentators we are talking about, is it ?
I fully agree with you.
Pakistan should “Bar” all Cricket and in fact all sporting events with India for the next Ten Year.
By the end of that time Indian Sports will be in BAD SHAPE and then they will BEG Pakistan to renew Sporting Events with India.
Doesnt matter what shape Indian sport is. For one I dont care and secondly even if it is in top shape who cares, you want to put restrictions on us we do the same to you. Pakistan cricket has survived and thrived without the support of Indian cricket money since independence and will continue to do so.
^ off course there will be "cover up stories". Do expect that Indian foreign ministry will issue a notice about the restriction?
I don't think the Indian govt is that vengeful or jobless to go after a single commentator who has come to India many times after the Mumbai attacks. The controversy is because of a decision taken by ESPN and faulty reporting from Pakistan.

I dont think its the matter of money or job or no job, its the position that Indian govt has taken. Off course Pakistani players in IPL were not hurting indian govt pocket, they were all barred too...Sialkot Stallion had to take part in CL, they have been bared too....keep on counting
Re: Akram cant do commentary in CL: India
let's speak the truth here please.
Wasim Akram is a cricketer and not a politician. We allow pak diplomats to visit all the time nd they are far far worse politicos. We even allowed Musharrafm the infamous perpetrator of Kargil, to visit and actually get paid for putting up a farce of a show in India. So what is behind stopping Wasim Akram? If there is a reason offered i am ok, other wise this is plain dum stupid and very ....dare I say....Indian politic
Re: Akram cant do commentary in CL: India
It was all nonesense he is already in india teaching KKR kids how to bowl

Good morning ! I am glad you woke up from your slumber. :D
I dont think anyone has denied that India's bowling could do with help, and who better to coach them than one of the all time fast bowling greats...
Re: Akram cant do commentary in CL: India
Wasim shouuld maybe stick to..
