Akhtar sits out rest of series -- (He is a liability)

Shoaib puts so much effort into his bowling he will always be prone to injury. it’s a smart move to rest him and keep him fit for important matches if he is feeling any twinges.

For once the management team has got it right :k:

1993 Pak vs SA, Waqar was bowling 155+mph yorkers at the SA. destroyed them.

Imran Khan was a super fast bowler. He was bowling well into 95+mph.

Viv Richards in one game was getting hit by Imran's bowling all over his body. Could not get the bat on the ball.

Thats how fast Imran was.

Oh sir jee I did not know k Khan Saahab is still bowling ;)

Well point taken but I was talking about the present bunch of cricketers.

Khan saahab was a class of his own but if given a choice to watch one of them, I would pick Shoaib just for his sheer pace.

Please don't take me wrong. I was and still am a great admirer of the way Khan Saahab played cricket. But I am talking about watching a FAST bowler charging down the ground. Maybe I haven't seen much of Khan saahab.

Sir jee you are right to some extent but to me Khan shib was a sight to watch. I guess you haven't seen Khan sahib when he was on peak. I wish I was a bit more grown up at that time so that I would have enjoyed Khan sahib bowling and would have not missed any of his matches.

No doubt it is so much exciting to see Shoaib firing the ball like a misile but don't like his action. Its too simple but amazing and interesting thing to watch is when the ball leaves his hand :). I don't know if you have seen Waqar and Waseem when they were young and on their peaks boy that was some sight to watch.

I still can't forget the staring of Hansie Cronje at Waqar when PAK was touring SA don't remember the year. But dude that was a series to watch. Hansie Cronje had freakin no idea where the bowl was going and he looked scared you can tell by the look at his face or maybe he was so frustrated cuz the bowl was making zig zags and he didn't know where to put the bat. That was a treat to watch :)

Though Shoaib Akhtar maynot be the most consistent bowler but he was the most exciting bowler. Imran Khan was better than current Shoaib, but Pindi Xpress is a different thing.
