Re: Ajvair Sarief
You mean AJMAIR SHARIF and Hazrat KHAWAJA MOINUDDIN CHISHTI (R.A)
Re: Ajvair Sarief
he was one the immigrants to come to pre-british india and settle here for the purposes of spreading is doctrine and impressions of islam. Later after his death people turned his death bed (grave) into a tomb and a place for SHIRK where grave worshippers gather every day to make prayers to the grave and an annual celebration "urs" is held when singers of folk music (qawwal-is) gather and sing hyms -- most of this stuff is a deviation of islam and sunnah of the prophet Muhammad SAW. Ajmair is the place where he is burried.
Re: Ajvair Sarief
ok...
Its Ajmer not Ajvair and,
its 'Buzurg' not 'Buzureg'..

Re: Ajvair Sarief
First off -
I don’t mind you calling me names as Alhamdolillah that only tests my patience and after all since I am fasting, it only increases my reward InshAllah.![]()
As for your questions here are the answers that I know from my knowledge (Wallahu Alam - Alah knows best).
-
SHIRK = Having partners with the one Allah SWT in worship, making supplication to , asking help from etc.
Shirk can be Major or Minor. SHIRK akbar = major.
Shirk Asghar = Minor.
The worshipping that happens at these tombs of the graves of the Pious, the “MAJOR” or Shirk Akbar in most occasion. It is done out of ignorance where those committing the acts are unaware that they can’t ask a dead person for anything other than pray for their (dead persons) forgiveness. Devout come to the tomb, and ask to the person in the grave of their needs. E.g, They commonly say “YA KHWAJA GHAREEB NAWAZ MADAD” / “YA HAZRAT MEREE MURAD POOREE KARDAY” or sing hyms in which they call upon the pious person who is now dead . This is common and is witnessed at this MAZARs or Shrines. Very common knowledge. The tomb in Lahore of Bab Fareed is a shining example of those who have seen it. I have seen videos of the one in Ajmer not been there as I have never been to India. IF they have strict control over what people do over there then I don’t know. Wallahu Alam.
Here is some reading material besides my ranting.
About shirk : Basic definitions:
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/tawheed/abutaw/abutaw_9.html -
Grave worshipping:
This term applies to people who pray to a grave by spreading their prayer mat infront of the grave. or Raise their hands as they stand infront of the grave to ask from the person in the grave.
I am not coughing this up from my stomach rather it is common knowledge in Ahl-Sunnah wal Jama-ah which includes Hanafis, Deobandis, Hanbalis, Malikis, Salafis / Alh Hadeeth etc.

SHIRK AT THE GRAVESIDES
When they congregate at the grave of a Wali, they stand there like statues expressing great humility and veneration. In fact, the humility and reverence which they display at the graves of the Auliya are never shown in the Musjid when they have to perform Salaat for Allah Ta’ala.
At the graves of the Auliya they indulge in a variety of acts of shirk and kufr. They make sajdah to the graves and they make tawaaf thereof. But, according to Islam, Sajdah is to be rendered exclusively to Allah Ta’ala and Tawaaf exclusively to the Holy Ka’bah. They burn incense at the graves and they adorn the graves with lamps and lights in open violation of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam’s) prohibition to do so.
Grave-worship is not a new cult. It came into being after the age of Nooh A.S. Even the Christians and the Jews practised grave-worship, hence Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Allah cursed the Yahood and the Nasaara because they converted the graves of their Ambiya into places of worship."
- Is music a deviation from Islam and Is Qawalli the same kind of music…
For this I will only refer to the following and abstain from my own commentary because I am firm believer that it “music” is not allowed in islam. I know students of SUFISM today are taught about SAMA and one form they are told is Qawali.
Is Qawali also the same music, So I will only refer to the texts (links) below:
Music: 1. Is Music Haram?
2. جيران
Modern day Qawali : This is from a person who accepts Sufism and is not a Wahabi…http://www.almahmood.org/innovations.html
(and mind you I don’t agree with sufism)
You don’t have to agree with what I have said, but it is my responsibility state what is the truth as I have found it .. Wama Alaina Illal Balaghul Mobeen !
Happy fasting and may Allah except our deeds in this Month of Ramadhan.
Re: Ajvair Sarief
Mr. Alona there is no need to take heat up to this extent. After reading your posts everyone can understand your thoughts and religion. It is very simple that you are following Wahabi sect however it is totally permissible in Ahely Sunnat e Jammat to listen Rasool Allah (i.e. Aarifana Kalam of Suffis which nothing but Tarif of Rasool Allah) Qawali.
It is also allowed in sunni school of law (Barelwi sect) to visit graves and pay tribute to Awliya e Ikaram. BTW this is not Shrik to visit to the shrine of Intimate friends of Allah (Awliya Allah). Do not force your religion on others may be you and your sect doesn't like something but remember everyone in this thread is not the follower of your sect so please calm down and chill out.
Re: Ajvair Sarief
Wow. That was the most horrible, uneducated, ideological farce I’ve ever read. Have you even studied one iota of this great man’s life?
Re: Ajvair Sarief
Yup, it’s on the internet, it must be true. Now go find an equal number of links providing legal, Islamic rulings FOR these actions. You’ll be surprised but your opinions are not the mainstream, nor the Sunnah.
Re: Ajvair Sarief
^ legal islamic ruling for praying to Abdul Qadir Jilani? or making sujood at the graves? or singing shirk stained Qawwalis?
why dont u show us what these "legal islamic rulings" are?
Re: Ajvair Sarief
y2k and tums, I only answered as Saqi asked me to.
I have no reason that compels me to force any thing on anyone “La ikrah fid-deen”
so lakum deenakum wala yadeen
AND p.s. I am not a Wahabi, Hanafi, Barelwi, Shaafi, Hanbali, Maakliki, —lol…I just try to be a muslim and momin InshAllah.
Sharaabi,
for your help but I see no point in arguing.
I merely will convey and try to follow
"Wa idha khatabahumul jahiloona qaloo salama " (quran)
