Re: Ajmal reported for suspect action

Malinga has a weird action...his hand doesn't even go above his head...it looks more like he is throwing a stone and not bowling a cricket ball. it's kinda sling shot coming of his hands.

how come he got away with his action?

lulz](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=lulz) at ICC and the crappy umpires

Ajmal has a clean action

Re: Ajmal reported for suspect action

Every success full bowler of Pakistan have suspect action, ball tampering, match fixing! No way :nahi:

Re: Ajmal reported for suspect action

Let’s not get overemotional or call everything a conspiracy

It is within the umpire’s remit to do this should he believe an action to be suspect

jazbaati logo, just because Ajmal was cleared 5 years ago, doesn’t mean he or (any other bowler) should not be retested if there is enough doubt about certain deliveries!!!

It was because of Murali (congenitally bent elbow) that the ICC had to relax the rules and extend the legal limit to 15 degrees.

**To be fair to Ajmal, he was tested under laboratory conditions and also monitored in real situations (during actual games) … and cleared. **

From the horse’s mouth

However technology is improving all the time and ICC now believe they have new, more effective tests to diagnose chucking. In the June ICC meeting they decided to get tough on suspect or illegal bowling.

Osman Samiuddin has alluded to that here

For too long players with suspect bowling actions have been allowed to play cricket. I am not convinced either that Malinga does not chuck. West Indian Narine is another one..

Personally I think that you (probably) cannot bowl the doosra without chucking or bending the elbow.

whether the bend is < 15 degrees (permissible ICC limit) or > 15 degrees is besides the point

Saqlain had a very clean action and he could probably bowl the doosra without bending his arm but then not every bowler is Saqlain.

Ajmal’s doosra does appear suspect at times..

But the big Q is
If they monitored Ajmal during actual games in the past why can’t they just do the same now for all suspect bowlers?

Re: Ajmal reported for suspect action

Hope he clears the tests/exam. Cricket (spin department) will be unfortunate to lose such an aggressive spinner.
