If case is proven against Sarabjit then he should be executed. This decision should depend on outcome of the court's verdict in Pakistan. It should not depend on what the courts in India decided.
Imran's mentioning the two cases as tit for tat, is in bad taste.
NEW DELHI: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has threatened to avenge the execution of Ajmal Kasab — the lone terrorist nabbed alive in the Mumbai terror attacks of 2008 — by India by striking Indian targets anywhere. International news agencies Reuters and Associated Press reported that TTP spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan spoke to them over telephone from an undisclosed location and also demanded Kasab s body. “If they don t return his body to us or his family, we will capture Indians and will not return their bodies,” Reuters quoted him. Asked about the TTP s threat and reports from India that New Delhi had sought more security for its diplomatic mission and officers and staff based here, Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani maintained that he was not aware of any particular threat. Nor has the government received a request from any diplomatic mission for additional security. At the same time, he pointed out that security for the diplomatic community in Pakistan was as it is very tight owing to the prevailing situation. In fact, security around the Diplomatic Enclave had been further beefed up since September when protesters had managed to breach the Red Zone while protesting against the anti-Islam film Innocence of Muslims.
have you heard the name of the politician mentioned in this news? By the way If you read the article in the last paragraphs they have mentioned Rahman Malik as ex interior minister
I was watching one clip of Qasab, and by his speech he seemed to be a pashtun. India claims he was from Okara, dont want to weave conspiracy theories but will we ever have the answers?
but once he has been executed he has paid for his sins in this world by enduring the punishment laid out by the people and the rest is up to Allah to judge.......
isn't it?
Yes, that is how it should be. But try telling that to the people who lost their loved ones in the attack. Plus no cemetary would want to take on the anger of the public over a terrorist's burial, why deal with the headache?
Anyway he did get a burial - within the jail where he was executed. So it's not like his body is just lying unclaimed somewhere.
Was just wondering why Pakistan does not come clean on this. I believe some minister has agreed that Kasab is indeed a Pakistani. Why this hide and seek. It is good that Pakistan did not accept his body. There are chances that some idiots might make his grave a memorial.
He was mere pawn in this deadly game. A mercenary that was expendable and responsible for hundreds of innocent deaths. The real culprits, Hafiz Saeed, Lakhvi, Major Iqbal and the real man behind the plan, brigadier Yousuf remain free to continue their bloody ways.
If you want to bring Karachi here then there are those who beheaded common people after picking them up from buses. They certainly killed more people than him too.
Then there are those who have been killing innocent people through suicide bombings. Again more than him.
And the list goes on.
But regardless of what other terrorists do, it doesn't change the fact that Ajmal Kassab was a terrorist who deserved death.
I m afraid that I differ. Ajmal Kasab was a mere pawn, a chimta which we use to engage with burning fire. He came to embrace death, what he deserved was life in jail, washing dirt of fellow prisoners. Hanging him was just like gifting him what he longed for, a Shaheed status.
