first of all, I don't think being able to attract PPP jiyalas is the only criterion for being made governor. one's appeal among the Pakistani ppl - not just PPP jiyalas - is the right criterion to use.
secondly, can that idiot Salman Taseer attract a 100 PPP workers? do the jiyalas remember that Taseer was one of Musharraf's ministers and became one of the wealthiest ppl in Pakistan in the dictator's time...
plus even though I still think that Aitzaz should be used in more important positions instead of a useless figurehead position. but PPP will help its cause in Punjab by making a universally respected leader like Aitzaz the governor.
Salman Taseer is a pygmy compared to Aitzaz in terms of appeal, respect, popularity, decency, leadership, intellect, honesty, etc.

Totlally agree with you. Salman Taseer would not able to attract 100 PPP worker, and that is the reason Zardari is so powerful. Their is war in pakistan between Mualna and people who love Islam as liberal religion. We have to defeat people like NS and Qazi Hussain.

All corruption cases were initiated by one of the biggest thief in history of Pakistan "Saifur-Rehman" then ehtesab chief on the instructions of NS. This is how Paki politics worked in past. Bamboo the opposition by hook or crook.
That thief is now "bhagorha" and living stylish life in Dubai. He is now enjoying the loot he stole from Pakistan. Do some bells reverberate in to your ears? Or as usual you do not want to hear any corruption done by the thieves of your favorite political party?
I think the only post suitable for his stature should be the Chairperson of PPP. He should lead PPP while the current leadership should be sent to overseas retirement. I don't think Aitzaz should take any official position in the government. PPP under the leadership of Aitzaz has the best chance of uniting the whole nation. Wishful thinking but who knows, might come true!
