Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Exactly. If only people were simply politely asking new mothers to take care of themselves. Have a look at comments around the web on her weight and you'll see what extreme level people have taken it to, hence I said in the first post how people can be so insensitive. It's like omg how dare she be lazy for once in her life!

PS: I'm no Ash fan if that gets thrown at me next.

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

The only problem I have is when people say that its normal and so common for Asian women to look like Aish after birth...to me, this is false and insulting. You wanna defend her fine but please don't lay the blame on entire South Asian race. Unlike her, most South Asian women don't have the luxury to afford top quality healthy diet, personal trainer, home built gym and swimming pool, nutritionist, dietitian, chef and all sorts of servants to pay attention to themselves. Give all these facilities to any any average new mother and I bet she'll look as hip and happening as post baby Beyonce. Its not always the case of Western celebs starving themselves to look good, you'd be surprised that most of the time its solely due to the incredible facilities and the staff and support system they have. I will probably have the best hair and skin in the world if only I had a nutritionist putting the most amazingly healthy food on my table three times a day followed by my trainer dragging me to the gym located in my own back yard...

People on net say mean things about everyone...doesn't mean we can't talk reasonably here.

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Look at Reema who's older that AASH. She's aging gracefully.

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Reema hasn't given birth.

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Her body, her choices, her life... why do people even care about this silly stuff?

Re: Aishwarya Rai’s post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Angelina has. :chai:

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Catskin, Reema didn't have a baby.

Comparing Angelina is really inappropriate. They have completely different body types.

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Anyway, this thread is more about people who are saying, "Ashwariya is relaxing and having a good time by becoming fat" as Jolie stated.

Re: Aishwarya Rai’s post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

And doesn’t she have a habit of collapsing on sets? How many normal women, asian and otherwise, actually look like Angelina after they become mothers?

Sounds like Aish or any other celeb just isn’t allowed to be a lazy bum, not even after having a baby. Tough, people.

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Well then laziness shouldn't be confused with "relaxing".

Don't be hatin' on fit moms. There are plenty of example in Pakistan too....we have Mahnoor Baloch, Mahira and Nadia Hussain. Even Bushra Ansari.

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Good for them.

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Why are you taking it personally? Relax.

Silly or not, the news has made it to international papers so obviously majority does feel strongly about Ashwariya's weight gain.

Re: Aishwarya Rai’s post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women

as if new moms dont have enuff pressure to be super moms.. now they have to be super looking too...

im glad she is being lazy if that is what she is being.. whatever makes her a happy person .. makes her a happy mommy.. makes her baby a happy baby.

and pls.. she is not obese.

all those women stated above.. mahnoor, nadia.. bushra.. daal roti ka sawal hai.. they ahvta work.. they wanna stay in the lmelight..who knows.. maybe ash doesnt feel the burn to return.. im sure when she has a movie on hand she will go back to her hot self...

Re: Aishwarya Rai's post-baby body forces India to confront its attitude to women
