It has the rumour mills spinning yarns on their much talked-about romance and a possible walk down the aisle. Aishwarya Rai is with the entire Bachchan family including Abhishek, in Varanasi for what the family calls are ‘special pujas’.
Bachchans, Aishwarya and Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh as they flew to Varanasi on a chartered flight from Delhi late last evening night.
At 2 am on Monday morning (November 27), they went to the Kashi Viswanath temple in the city and then to the Sankat Mochan temple. Sources close to the family say the prayers are to iron out a mismatch in Abhishek and Aishwarya’s horoscopes - a special ‘Mangal Dosh’ puja for Aishwarya who is a manglik .
Though the jury may be out on whether the puja will lead to a marriage, one thing is certain: Ash’s presence at a Bachchan family puja proves that she is very much an important part of Abhishek’s life. **

Abhishek has used his daddy's name to get to where he is..he is not that goodlooking and is not that good an actor.Aishwarya is self-made and is way better looking than him.

I think so Muniya. I mean seriously speaking....what other leading lady has as many accollades as Ash? Including her non-Bollywood accomplishments.
While I would have thought that Rani was a better match for Abhi, the powers that be in the industry would likely pair these two. Him for his genes and her for her looks and calibre.
While Abhi's riding the Big B's coatails is expected, one can't say that Ash is a better actor. I certainly don't think so. They have both improved over time but are far from being top notch.
Besides....if Abhi is landing roles based on daddy's name, then eventually the roles will dry up as the public will stop spending to see him. And if the public kept spending to see Govinda do the nasty, then they will surely continue to pay for Abhi.

It must the hardest for people like Abhi. He's the son of one of the best actors in Indian Cinema. For him, people constantly say that he isn't as good as his father so he has to work 10 times harder than other actors who don't have mega famous parents.

Aishwarya is so beautiful and natural that Abhishek will be ‘paying’ visits to Vinarsi every year, eventhough Bhagwaan ji deserves very little credit for all the plastic he used in her making

Well i dont care if they get married - both of them deserve each other (besides let the guy be happy since he has been dumped by every other girl he has been out with haha). but seeing their movies (i.e. the movies they work together in) bombing at the box office i think they should not bother working together - kasam say they give me a headache.
oh but i do hope they get married soon since ash is growing old (bhuddi) and then God knows when she'll decide to have kids :S perhaps 50 ki umar mein
