yea i agree w/ the whitification
rather ironic b/c the whole point of putting her on the loreal campaign was to show the international range it catered to
she comes out looking totally white, you wouldnt know she was indian unless u were fimiliar w/ bollywood to begin w/
What i dont like about all mascara ads is that they clearly use false eyelashes and coat those with mascara, be it maybelline, loreal or covergirl. its unfair- they should use masacara on the natural lashes!!!
she looks good but people are always blaming the indian/pakistani media for making people look white and here, the western media is doing the same thing.
No doubt she is very beautiful... but there's something about her that EXUDES insincerity and vanity. Sorry, can't stand her. As for the ads.... The ones I've seen of her here in the States shows a very brief glimpse of her.. like they don't want people to get a good look at her, fearing they'll figure out she's desi. Who knows. Her voice sounds god-awful though, and she doesn't carry the ad well. She's looked better in the movies.
you know what, i've never figured that out. in some old pictures she's this light yellowy-brown color and then in some other pictures she's whitish and then i see her again with brown skin. Still, i dont think she's as dark as Rani but definitely not as light as Preity, Kareena or Karissma.
with other indian actresses you can figure that out verry easily but Ashwaria's like a chameleon.
Maybe her real color's the one she was in Bride and Prejudice, this light yellowy brownish color.
i think she looks horrible in the mascara ones...BUT absolutely GORRRGEEEOUUSSS in the preference hair color commercials ( i kno they dubbed her voice...boo hoo...) but she looks HOT!
my friend saw her…he said she wasn’t light and more on the brown side…i dunno personally..im bad at judging…i wud say shes medium more like golden brown skin..but do take into account aish wears ALOT of makeup…so i dunno..jo makeup ka kamal hota hai…
i wudnt even look at the loreal commercials…the light and makeup and all the things they put in to make her look lighter…shes definitely not that white…
I think they gave her a natural look, make up wise. She looks gorgeous, not like a gori at all. Compare her pics to Mila Jovankovich (or whatever her name is), the other L’Oreal model’s photographs and you will see that they didn’t try and make her look like a white girl. Yeah, she’s wearing a blouse and pearls … what’s wrong with that? It’s not like it’s tight and revealing or anything like that.
^ Yea i agree...i don't think they made her look like a gori...we don't always wear desi jewellery or clothes all the time do we...i think she looks nice in these ads...but i don't think she is that pretty overall, just okay.
As far as her colour, i think the reason we see pics of her in different shades is bcos of the sun etc...esp., in bollywood films where they spend so much time outside shooting etc...so depending on the climate n lifestyle ur colour changes esp. if u were born with fair/light skin and tan easily.
notice how she flutters her lashes, the ad cracks me up! You know the lashes are not real it looks like camel eyes! If any of you know a mascara that does that to your lashes, please let me know, thank you.
