Aisha Thread

I WOULD contact the forum moderators, but they dont listen. Really, they dont. And if I , an ex-mod who hated it when people wouldn’t talk to me first about their problems, feels that this is the situation, then maybe someone really needs to talk to the religion moderators. Or has code-red now taken over and has the GS-given right to push his beliefs on others?

Why was the Aisha-age thread removed?

There were NO problematic posts in that thread the last time I posted. If someone put something horrible afterwards, then why dont you guys have the AQAL to remove that one post?

I’m really annoyed with this. Despite my differences with many here, i think we all agree that no one likes to see their written work go down the drain for no reason. If we are each writing THOUGHTFUL replies in the thread, and there is no OFFENSE, I really dont see any reason to be removing threads because they address a controversial issue.

Code-Red does not OWN the forum. Plus, you moderators in that forum need to work together when deciding to remove threads.

Why do I have to give you these lessons, really?

Re: Aisha Thread

PCG: what would have you done/said if you were the moderator of religion forum & :

1- If some one had opened that thread under your moderatorship?

2- If in case you would have done what Code Red did (and I can guarantee you would’ve done E.X.A.C.T.L.Y the same) and that someone would’ve opened the similar thread in Feed back? Reaction Please.

Re: Aisha Thread

and also When Lajawab’s thread about *self-invented-Islam *can be taken seriously and is put into the trash without even realizing the very fact that it was indirectly talking to our faith and was a constructive sarcaism, I do not see any point why some stupid has to criticize the mother of the Ummah Amma Aisha Siddiqa :razi2:

Re: Aisha Thread

Thank you for your feedback :flower1:

The thread is under review, and will be brought back If deemed appropriate by Admin.

Your suggestion, feedback and criticism is most welcome

Re: Aisha Thread

no AQ - I would not have. I only would make it a rule to remove threads when someone cursed or personally attacked another guppy. Or if it was a raunchy sex-oriented thread.

But never for someone putting up their opinions.

And this Aisha thread -its not just opinions. People came in and wrote with support from hadith and Quran - so people did some background research before posting.

Whether their opinions are valid or not is up for debate. Its not the mod's decision to lock the thread if they feel the proof is not good enough.

Just the fact that people put the effort into looking up information for it - that's what saddens me. If you keep shelving threads that people make an effort to discuss, then no one will be posting anymore.

Aur haan - when did anyone insult Aisha?? The thread was merely a discussion on what her real age probably was when she married the prophet. How THE HELL is that insulting her????
