Lots of people take Oprah seriously. Just look at the books that are featured in her book club. They become instant best sellers if she mentions them on her show.

^yeah, a lot of people follow her blindly. Remember the whole lawsuit against her because she made a comment about beef or something and they started losing sales? I agree that we should write letters to Oprah and/or post messages on the discussion board on Oprah.com so at least the message will go out to the readers. We should make it clear and it isn't because of Islam that women are abused and it isn't because of Islam that they hardly have any rights in Saudi Arabia. Islam gave women rights a long time before Western women were able to get them.

Aish is pretty, however I wont say the most beautifu woman on this earth. And she has no personality. This is the first time I've seen her outside of a movie. She is one boring human being, toooooooooo dull its no wonder she is still single.

I watched that episode. The audiance on Oprah are in awe of everything, and in search of inner 'fullfiment', that's why the women will get impresed by anything thrown at em'. *Aish's apperance on Oprah are a work of hard marketing team, and India's obession with going global. Heck, why would hollywood want a 'fake blond', when it has real ones??! * I'm sorry but Aish, tries to copy creamy silky white skins of Angelina jolie and what not. She wears hell alot of makeup, and quite frankly you can tell that she got tons of Plastic surgery. Infact she was marred with allegation of surgery and fakeness when she first surfaced on the film scene.
To tell the fact that this whole 'exposure of aish' to western media is based on false lies, is the telling fact of 'her being religious'. How the heck can you be relgious in an industry of bwood that's creeping with sex scandals and wat not?? Plus the whole lie of Julia roberts calling her the world's beautiful women, of which her whole marketing campagin is based on. ** She lost the beauty pageants to such horrible looking women as Sushmita sen; **why the heck any1 give bows to Indian marketing/propaganda/economy industry?! recognize the real makers of people like aishwarya

i saw it and i feel Ash should have been the one wearing the sari, she would have knocked the ratings way up because she is much more beautiful in her desi attire especially a Sari, she is tall, slim and just beautiful. As for everything else i feel they probably recorded more but they didnt show it because the movie she did was like a month old already and so they probably just cut it down big time since there was nothing really to discuss. Maybe when she does her actual hollywood film with meryl streep she will have more time given to her apprearence, if that does happen. As for Ash, she is beautiful and she is smart which is why she is a good person to represent for her country and as for acting, if you havent seen choker bali, devdas, raincoat and shabd you guys dont know what your talking about, she can act. The entire movie raincoat she had zero makeup and in choker bali there were scenes where they didnt use make up on her. she is beautiful and make up enhance's her beauty like many other women in the world.

they used her in the advertisment but she had like a ten minute segment. they didnt even talk about her movies they just talked about how people dont kiss in public in india, a topic heard on every single one of her american interivews. and she says the same thing about indians having a healthy sex life. shes not ugy but she is not as pretty as people say she is.
