Such people will never come back.
Two young men entered the gathering of Hazrat Umar R.A. They satnd infront of a man and while pointing at him they say “O Umar this is that man”.
“What has this man done” Hazrat Umar R.A asked them.

**“O’ Amir-ul-momineen he killed our father”
“What are you saying, he killed your father?” asks Hazrat Umar R.A
Hazrat Umar R.A turns to the man and asks him " Did you kill their father?"
That man replies " Yes their father has been killed by me.
ہ****How did you kill" asked Hazrat Umar R.A
“O Umar, their father entered by farm along with a camel, I forbid him but he didnot abstain. Therefore i threw a stone which hit him straight on the head and he died on the spot.”
“Then talion (qasas) will be applied, death is the punishment of this” said Hazrat Umar R.A****
There was no need to write the decision, and it was such an irrevocable decision on which there was no space for any discussion or argument. neither the person was asked about his family, caste, statues, nor there was any need to ask which tribe he belongs to? What interest Hazrat Umar R.A would have had in such questions!! Because if the matter is about God’s religion then nothing can affect Hazrat Umar R.A nor anyone can stop Hazrat Umar R.A from taking the decision. Even if Hazrat Umar R.A own son is the murderer. He will have to give talion aswell.**
That man says" O’ Amir-ul-momineen: In the name of Allah, who created earth and sky, let me go back to my wife and children in the desert so that I can tell them that I will be killed. They have no one apart from Allah and me. I will come back after that.
Hazrat Umar R.A says " who will give your bail that you will come back from desert?"
**The crowd was surrounded in the silence, there was no one who knew even his name, knowing about tribe, house etc were out of questions. Who will give his bail? Is it a matter of 10 durhams ( a currency in those times), a piece of land or the matter of buying a camel? Here the matter is about someone’s life, someone’s neck which will be cut by a sword. And there was no one who could have objected on this matter with Hazrat Umar R.A or could have favoured the man. there was no one who could have thought about the favourism.
**Everybody in the mehfil was silent. Hazrat Umar R.A himself was affected by this situation. Because this man’s condition had left everyone amazed. Will he be really killed for talion and his children will be left to die in hunger? If doesnot come back then victim’s blood will go in vain.
Hazrat Umar R.A himself was upset with this situation, he looked at the young men (victim’s son) with request in his eyes “forgive this man”.
“No amir, a person who killed our we will let him go, that cannot happen at all” The young men stated their final decision.
Hazrat Umar R.A looks at crowd once again and says " O peopel! is there anyone from you who can give this man’s bail?"
Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A stands up with his old age (that was on full bloom) and says " I will give bail of this man"
Hazrat Umar R.A says " he has murdered"
“Even if he has murdered” Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A tells his irrevocable decision.
" You know him?" said Hazrat Umar R.A
" No i dont know him" said Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A
“Then how come you are giving his bail?” Hazrat Umar R.A
**" I have seen qualities of a beliefer on his face, and i feel that he is not lying. By god’s will (inshallah) he will come back."
**
" Abu zar! if He doesnot come back in three days then I will have to see the shock of your separation" Hazrat Umar R.A
“Amir-ul-momineen! then god is there” Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A replies with affirmation.

The man leaves taking three days permission from Hazrat Umar R.A for some neccassary preparation, to say good bye to his wife and children, to secure their future after his death and to come back for talion (qasas).**
And after three nights, how could have Hazrat Umar R.A forget this matter, he had counted every moment. At asar’s time, the proclamation of salat-ul-jamia were announced. The young men were their to take the talion of their father and the crowd was there to see the execution of shria.
Hazrat Abu zar R.A comes as well and sits infront of Hazrat Umar R.A.
" Where is that man?" asked Hazrat Umar R.A
" I dont know, O amir" replies Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A.
** Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A looks at the sky where sun is setting quickly than normal.**
Apart from allah no one knew what was going to happen today?
Its true that Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A lives in Hazrat Umar R.A heart, if Hazrat Umar R.A is asked for a part of his body then he wont say no. But here its the matter of shria, matter of obeying god’s order. It was not a play nor it was about someone’s status or capability or about selling a house. If the murderer doesnot show up, bailer will be answerable by his neck.
Just before maghrib the man comes. Hazrat Umar R.A says ‘Allah o akbar’ and the crowd says ‘Allah o akbar’ aswell.
Hazrat Umar R.A says to the man " O man! if you had not come then what could have we done, no one knew your whereabouts or your house"
“Amir-ul-momineen, swear uopn god, its not about you, its about allah who knows about every hidden and open thing. see I am here, leaving my children in desert like bird’s kids where there is no shadow or any water. I am here to be killed. I was only scared that people will say ’ now there is no concept of completing a promise’”.
Hazrat Umar R.A turned his face to Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A and asked " on what basis did you give his bail?"
Hazrat Abu zar Ghaffari R.A said " O Umar, I was afraid that people will say 'now no one care’s about someone’s well being."
Hazrat Umar R.A remained silent for a moment and then asked the young men "what do you say now?’

Both men replied with tears in their eyes. “O Amir-ul-momineen, we forgive him because of his honesty, we are afraid that people will say forgiveness and remission no longer exists now.”**
Hazrat Umar R.A said ‘Allah o akbar’ and tears wetted his beard.
"O young men!
**“O Abu zar, may god bless you for helping this man in calamity”
****and " O man, may god bless you for keeping the promise".
**
and " O Amir-ul-momineen , may Allah bless you for your mercy and for a fair decision"

Some narrators narrated that such kind of life, faith and the virtues, were buried with the funeral of Hazrat umar as we cant see nowadays such honesty, keeping promise, forgiveness, good deeds, fair decision.
