I first saw this show in the late 80s on PTV Pakistan… At that time I was only interested in the scenes which showed Airwolf… Recently, I got a chance to dl alot of the episodes, and realized what a great show it was!!!
Stringfella Hawk, a nam veterun has hid airwolf but promised to return it if the US government returns his brother Sinjin, who is an MIA in Vietnam. His only friend is Santini. Deputy General Archaengal secretly supported him for his flying airwolf in missions of national interest. Airwolf was hidden by its test pilot Hawk some where in the deserts of Western US. With Hawk and Santini flying together as a group, matching the top speed of jets and maximum fire power, airwolf was considered too great a threat and finding it was the top priority.
The show was awesome, the first season was very dark, so they decided to send in Jean Bruce Scott (the lady below in the pics) in. The second and third season were good, but not as good as the first one. Then however, due to problems caused by the actor playing Hawk, the show was ultimately discontinued, and then came the awful Canadian Airwolf (hahaha) with a totally absurd cast and all the copied stunts!!!
Still, the first three seasons with Hawk and Santini were awesome, and this series ruled the early 80s with Knight Rider!!!

oh man I loved this show. I think it used to come on on wednesday night like 10 pm. They started it after the phenomenon success of Knight Rider.

I used to be a knight rider fan too... But when I saw knight rider recently, I changed my mind... Airwolf was a serious show... No jokes, and nothing ridiculous, like KITT having a pedal, even though one was not needed if the card was automatic... hehe
haha, i have some old pics of me sitting in the KITT car (the one used in the TV series) at universal studios :D
I also hardly missed any Airwolf shows in Pakistan, even tho it used to come late night, like after khabarnama etc :D Yes, Stringfellow Hawk haha I forget his real name, he hardly smiled, serious looking feeling with stiff lips haha. Theme music was also awesome :D
What a great show, I still remember other shows like Knight Rider, Miami Vice, Magnum PI, Auto Man etc.
Theme to the Air Wolf was one of the best ever.
I can still remember its theme music…, the one which played in every episode when Airwolf will finally engage the enemy aircraft in a cat-fight :k: :k: :k:
Man! that was some show. We’d make drawings of Airwolf in our scratchpads all the time. I can still draw it pretty accurately
