So state your best and worst.
My best is undoubtedly Manchester, never had a problem. Very friendly staff. I don’t have a worst but Abu Dhabi is up there with being utterly boring.

Re: Airport experiences
My worst was @ Germany
while i was on a transit flight to Canada.
It was just horrible. We got off the plane and i ended up loosing my boarding pass and their staff was horrible, didn’t help at all! And i was just a kid at that time so imagine what i went thru, rest were waiting @ plane for us :(. I thought they were gonna leave me there :halo: and damn these germans need to learn english, like seriously! ![]()
Re: Airport experiences
the **worst-ever**** experience that i ever had was at *Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.* Paris was my first stop in the western world. i had accidentally left my passport at the airline desk and i vividly remember running frantically on the escalator in the wrong direction, desperately trying to get back to the area i was at. luckily, i found my passport. thank God!
and, the**** best-ever *experience i ever had at any airport was at the brand new *Chek Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong***. when i arrived there, it was a brand new airport, opened only three days earlier. loved it!*
Re: Airport experiences
Abu Dhabi: Very boring. Small but nice otherwise.
Frankfurt: Where are the water fountains?! It's ridiculous! And not even a place to buy paani. Sure, Haagen Daaz is there but paani! I didn't honestly enjoy the airport.
Amsterdam: Security is tighter. Even from one gate to another you have to go through the security again. But it's nice to walk around. Kinda longish.
Heathrow Terminal 5: HORRIBLE. A) train ride to looooooooooooooooong escalators. Loooooooooooooooooong lines then at security. Then, the usual stores and walking around. Where do I sleep?! And, it's cold. There is a wind blowing CONSTANTLY. Then! To get to B or C gate I have to go down AGAIN and take ANOTHER train. Ugh!
Toronto Pearson. Free WiFi! Thank you ROGERS. You're good for something. Otherwise I mean it's a decent airport. Thank goodness for water fountains.
Dubai Terminal 1: Can find spots with wi-fi. Halal food. Shopping. Good place to pass time I've found. Seriously. Just a bit congested at times.
Dubai Terminal 3: Soooo pretty! It really is. Food choice (at least the one within my budget) can be more, but I mean, it's got BK.
Lahore airport: Ummm tbh last time I was there, it smelled of toilets. I don't know why. As usual no real sense of lines. Then again when boarding everyone forgets how to form a line anyways, no matter where. I've always found the departure and arrivals kinda weird there. Make sure you get everything stamped.
Istanbul/Turkey: It's an ok airport. I have a feeling a lot more expansion of the airport will happen. Or not. In any case, it was very busy the two times I stopped over. Staff was very helpful. Wish it had free wi-fi.
Re: Airport experiences
Worst - Amsterdam. I can’t believe they have their security check at the boarding gate and it took FOREVER to clear!!!
Come to think about it, Heathrow wasn’t a stellar experience 5 years ago either (they threatened to off-load our bags and make us buy new tickets because we were a few measly minutes late boarding the plane). Oh and Manchester as a via point to KHI - it was a 2 hour layover where EVERYONE had to deplane, go through security only to board the plane again - totally inefficient!
Best - Delhi was good and Dubai was pretty good as well. The Dubai immigration officer who had such a sariyal expression on his face even smiled at me when I said *shukran. *And who doesn’t love free wi-fi.
Re: Airport experiences
I am loving all these travel/tourism threads these days.
Having a bad experience vs bad/boring airport are two different things.
I had bad experiences at Gatwick and Paris Airports!
Qatar is very small and expensive but they have an okay staff and are trying hard to improve.
I personally love Dubai because there is so much to do there. I had a major delay one time.. like a day delay which I had to stay at the airport. didn't mind staying there at all.. so much food, shopping :D
I had a bad experience at Atlanta airport.. not because of airport but because of Delta.

Abssolutely agree KKF! Charles De Gaulle is very badly designed, we had to take two bus rides to get from one terminal to the adjacent terminal. Complete waste of time!
Was pleasantly surprised with the new airport in Delhi. Lots to do and very very clean, plus free wi-fi!!

**yup...i loved the brand NEW Indira Gandhi International Airport. did you now that they now have snooze boxes where you can relax between flights. it costs $10/hr and the cozy little room has a bed, a TV, an internet connection...what else one would want...if you want, then you can take a shower as well for just $10. state of the art fully automated stand up showers with towels and soap/shampoo is available. i simply love the new airport. :)
soon, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai will even be better than IGI Airport in New Delhi. :)**
Re: Airport experiences
Hate Paris airport...ppl aren't helpful, airport staff is VERY unoragnized, ppl are rude. I have been there twice and never want to go through or visit paris.
Re: Airport experiences
Worst: LAX, Los Angles
Best: Changi Airport, Singapore
Re: Airport experiences
They are all the same, but I love our own Seattle, because of free Wifi :D
