Airline Food

Out of all the airlines, which do you think provides the most yummiest meals?

Air Canada:

Their Muslim meal is horrid.

Gulf Airways:

Their scheduling/service sucks, but their food is quite good, especially the ice cream they serve.

British Airways:

Pretty good

Those are the main airlines I fly on. What other airlines provide decent food? Or are they all crap?

Re: Airline Food

Lufthansa - sucks. I am a gosht-khor Lahori, no need to serve me daal and wheat cereal.

Re: Airline Food

The funniest incident ever…PIA… we were on the flight to Jeddah and it was Ramazan …iftar time comes these airhostesses bring friggin LADDOS and water for everyone…i was like WTF kiya pilot ki shaadi hai jo sab ko laddo baat raha hai… i don’t eat laddo anywayz so had water to break the fast and something my mom packed up for the flight… PIA :bailan:

Re: Airline Food

this may surprise many (it did me)....recently I ordered Hindu meal on the continental domestic flight and guess what - they brought pulav, mutter paneer and aloo ghobi! My neighbor eating the damp turkey sandwich had a fit and swore to order Hindu meal from now on!

Re: Airline Food

Sarah, I've heard Lufthansa is quite good, but I've never experienced it myself. Hmmmm ...

On my recent flight from Jeddah to Bahrain on Gulf Airways, they bumped us to First Class and what a difference there was in the food. I took a pic of the salad .... i'll upload it tonight.

Re: Airline Food

Emirates

Re: Airline Food

talking of 1st class food - you should try flying CA NY/NJ - Continental actually gets you rolls that have flavor, salads that crunch and as decent a wine you can get without going connossieur. On occasion when you have your charm game on, you could convince the Newark crew to part with a free bottle of bubbly. And then, assuming you had the patience not to load up on cheese pizza in the airport, wait for the fully loaded sundae…mmmmmm!

Re: Airline Food

Which hindu meal did you order? hindu(general), jain, gujrati or indian vegitarian?:bukbuk:

Re: Airline Food

I generally ask for a vegetarian meal and it's the same no matter what airline you fly. Last time I got this new low carb veggie wrap which was pretty good.

Re: Airline Food

In Continental, if you say Hindu, they'll give you vegetarian

Re: Airline Food

In United when you say Muslim they give you vegetarian. It happened to me from DC to Frankfurt flight.

Re: Airline Food

^ yup - happens in CO too. When you say Muslim I think they automatically assume you're Hindu vegetarian. You could try Arab muslim but that comes with bigger issues!

Re: Airline Food

^ I guess Matsui was right when he says that "at the end we are all Hindus"

Re: Airline Food

ya but he's one tricky *****. he didn't tell you which end

Re: Airline Food

BA is tops. Food is good on most BA flights.

Re: Airline Food

I find airline food mostly bland and boring.

Re: Airline Food

^ ya i rather eat the table which its served on....with some ketchup ofcourse

Re: Airline Food

I never had airline food that I would call “excellent”, but the food on Emirates was at least “really good”. PIA was “not bad” and the rest was :yukh:
