My wife and I use one extensively, yes you spray oil on whatever you want to fry this way.
We have used it for making french fries, chicken wings, whole chicken , chicken legs , leg of lamb etc. They all turn out good always. It is good if you are frying something which has bread crumb or any other quoting because when you deep fry those item they soak up a lot of oil but in the air fryer you get good results without lot of soaked up oil in the quoting.
And I must say they never get bone dry in our case.
P.S: we bought it when our deep fryer broke. There are still many items which you need to deep fry therefore we ended up buying another deep fryer also.
Thanks Mirch for the detailed review. Do you think its different then having an oven?
I mean , in my household, we do everything including fries in the Oven. With either just a drop of oil spread around or no oil. I am confused , why people are buying airfryers when the exact same purpose is being fulfilled by the Oven. Or am I missing out on something here?

Which brand do you have? So far I was a bit reluctant to give one a try but your review is tempting...
