air travelling with 1month old baby

I will be travelling by plane with my 6weeks old baby…

how does the baby react when the plane takes off and while landing?do they feel their ears hurting?if yes what to do to calm them?

I’m b.feeding her with ocassional pumping…did the airplane allow to pump/b.feed in any reserved place or you have to b.feed ur baby at your seat?

where did u change their diapers/clothes?

is there anything else to take care of and/or prepare for her in advance?

Re: air travelling with 1month old baby

Some kids have trouble during take off and landing. Best solution is to feed them (bf or bottle) as the sucking motion helps with ear pressure. Or if your baby takes a pacifier, offer her that during takeof and landing.

Re. space for bf/pumping - I don't think there's a separate space for that in the plane. You could use a bf cover and request to be seated next to a woman. How long is the flight? If you have a layover, the airport may have some facility for nursing moms. Diapers and clothes you can change in the plane toilet - they will have a changing table, just carry your own changing cover and plenty of wipes and hand sanitizer.

Ask for a bassinet seat in the flight. We took a 10 hour flight when my daughter was 5 months old, and the bassinet seat was a HUGE help. She could sleep in her own space and we could sleep too without having to hold her all the time.
