I will be taking a flight next month with my 2 month old…It’s going to be a 7 hour flight …
I am pretty anxious since it’s my first ever time traveling with the baby all by myself…
Any suggestions/tips from the parents here?

Re: Air Travel with a 2 month old
Try to book a seat with a bassinet. It is so much easier, than holding your baby through out the flight.
Nurse your baby during take-off and landing,or give him/her a bottle, as the pressure can hurt their ears, but the sucking motion can help.
Dont worry too much, it wont be too bad iA.
Btw, it is a bit harder when they are more mobile .

Check in as much luggage as you can. Only take the smallest possible diaper bag in the plane and if possible, use that diaper bag as your purse also (keep your id, wallet and stuff in it instead of carrying a separate purse).
I know you may have a stroller but you have to turn the stroller in at the plane door and holding a baby in arm and roll a carry in bag at the same times up to your seat and out could be a daunting task.
Also, if you have an option to reserve a seat online, go and reserve the seat as front as possible so you can be out of the plane in lesser time after it lands.

^ That is so true.
I was once traveling with a 6 month old, had to hand in the stroller, and had so much stuff to carry, WITH the baby.I was nearly in tears by the end of it....It was really bad experience :/

Re: Air Travel with a 2 month old
usually the babies aren't as bad as you may think, I took my son on 4 hrs flight when he was 1 1/2 month he was fine, and he was quiote a colicy type. Just make sure you ask for help too, most airline staff is friendly. If you can get seat with bassinet, and your baby sleeps throught most of the flight, then you will have nooo problems..
Thankyou for all the suggestions! I'll definitely keep them in mind...
I read somewhere that the airplane staff isn't allowed to hold or help out with the baby...is that true?
It's an overnight flight and a +5 hours time difference...should I consider taking "wake-ups"...so I am sane by the time I get to my destination...
