Re: Air Fryer
ive eaten fries and sweet-potato fries made in an air frier. not bad if fresh, wait 10 mins and not so great.
Re: Air Fryer
YES! It’s brilliant, i have the philips one. It’s like a mini oven but more powerful and much faster. It also cooks food all the way round - like home-made chips for example. I think it’s a brilliant thing to have in the kitchen and have used it numerous times. Highly recommended.
Re: Air Fryer
Its takes a lot more time than normal frying ,and as queer said, if you don’t eat the fries when they are fresh, it doesn’t taste very good.
Re: Air Fryer
fries come out great in this and take a max of 15 mins - homemade chips take longer.
Re: Air Fryer
Thanks for the input !
I am not so worried about fries but I want to have something where I can cook samosas and chinese spring rolls without deep frying
In that case.diamond. I woukdnt waste my.money cuz it sucks. It’s not made.fir frying samosay, spring rolls etc. It never gets.crisp nor brown and whatever crispness it does reach…goes.soggy in 5 mins flat.
Waste of money imho. ![]()
I have the t-fal actifry.
Re: Air Fryer
I disagree! I use it for samosas and spring rolls as well - they go v crispy!! they dont brown well though so i’ve tried brush oil OR egg - both work well! Much healthier and don’t taste as heavy.
Re: Air Fryer
Some months back I put this thread.

I have heard about actifry that as it revolves so the small food items broke in it.
Moreover can u fry pakoras in Air fryer?
What i have concluded is its just a fancy name of oven to psychologically gratify you by putting the name FRYER with it. Samosas can be done with egg brushing in oven and come out really well.
Air Fryer
I haven’t used any of these but would like to try them. Don’t want to waste money on it though if they don’t work too well.
I bake samosas and spring rolls in the oven. Honestly, I think they come out pretty good. Not heavy and greasy. You can always brush them with oil or spray with a cooking spray before putting them in.
Re: Air Fryer
Homemade fries take longer than 15 minutes? From what I have experienced, deep frying takes no more than 5 minutes.
Re: Air Fryer
I second you
