Air Blue crash and the black box's findings

I have heard in the news about labelling it as pilot’s fault but cannot find any articles or what really happened. I think the tower was telling the pilot to raise or pull up and even the co-pilot was saying “please pull up sir” but the reaction of the pilot was, “yes I can see the hills”! Meaning I know what I am doing.

Any info on this?

So you mean that pilot was on a suicidal mission.

This is pure Pakistani style.
And the pilot too did all in pure …

Re: Air Blue crash and the black box's findings

I don't think they (the investigation) indicate that the pilot was suicidal, but the pilot had the attitude I know what I am doing and that hills are not on our way, but later he did try to pull up but then it was too late.

I know someone who died on that plane and no one has any info on the black box report ?

Re: Air Blue crash and the black box's findings

The pilot did not have to be "told" that there was an obstruction ahead, these planes are equipped with the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, which starts yelling when the plane is on a collision course with anything, or too close to the ground, and gives the pilot adequate time to pull up before impact.

All the theories about the plane being shot down can be discarded because on the very next day after the crash, a pilot on Talat Hussain's program stated that it is no big issue if a pakistani plane flies over sensitive installations in Islamabad, it simply gets redirected.

Last week, family members of the victims, appearing on Rana Mubashir's program Pakistan Chowk, said they had carried out personal investigations into the pilot's record and repute (i think one of them even said he had known the pilot indirectly), and they were very confident that the crash could not have been due to a pilot error.

They have a time frame of 360 days since the crash to release an Interim Report
Very sorry for your loss
I would rather be killed by 10 bullets than to experience such a horrifying, painful death

Re: Air Blue crash and the black box's findings

Air crash investigations take months and sometimes years. unfortunately our people for emotional reasons and news anchors for commercial reasons cant wait that long to spread conspiracy theories.

Anyones who want to know more, I suggest should watch National Geo's "Air Crash Investigations".

Re: Air Blue crash and the black box's findings

whats stopping them from releasing the last few minutes data of the Voice Recorder in one go?

Re: Air Blue crash and the black box's findings

What I wrote here ... was being aired on TV not my words.

I know about the warning systems in the aircraft, but where were they and did the pilot not pull up on time ??

anyway they should release the voice recorder of the black box like they do it in the west after a crash.

Re: Air Blue crash and the black box's findings

Very rarely done in fact I am afraid its never been done without reaching to conclusion.

Re: Air Blue crash and the black box's findings

should not harm the conclusion of "technical" investigation as long as they don't have plans to protect someone and blame someone... they could release the recording and continue with their air crash investigation all they want as long as they want. but simply blaming the pilot for it without any proof and when asked to show proof, running away saying its still under investigation and keep on "leaking" that it was pilots fault shows that they are biased and non-serious
