Here are a few pics from my trip to Las Vegas. Please be nice, I didnt do any of the hanky panky stuff that comes to mind when you hear “Las Vegas”. Yep I can safely say “I have been there and did nothing”. And please ignore the dates on the pictures. Some of the dates are wrong because no one cared to set the right date and time.

Above is a picture of Bellagio’s fountains. These fountains work together with light effects and opera music. The water pulsing out of the fountains swirls taking variety of movements. At times the movement is slow and peaceful responding to the smooth passages of music and other times it is rapid and can reach heights as high as 250 feet (as was told by a member of crew). It is amazing to see short bursts of water gushing out of pumps at such high speed. And standing there I imagined if I could just place my friend over one of these fountains it would drill a hole in his body, or perhaps rip him apart (he is skinny and annoying).

This is the pyramid or as they call it “The Luxor”. The tip of Luxor sends a very powerful beam of light into the air that can be seen miles away from Las Vegas. The Luxor crew boasts the beam is so powerful that it can be seen from the moon. Anyways it has an underground museum where various “imitations” from ancient Egyptian culture have been placed. I found it very interesting.

Yep, you guessed it. It was New Years Eve and I was standing at the bottom of Ballys watching the fireworks. It seemed like a gazillion maniacs crammed on the Vegas strip. We left our room at ten in the morning and I had been walking all day. By the time fireworks had started my feet hurt so badly that I could walk no further. Thanks to the maniacs who pushed me from right and left and carried me close to the parking lot (believe me I didn’t take a single step, they pushed me all the way to the parking lot). On the New Years Eve the Vegas strip was closed to vehicles so I had to leave my car at a distant parking lot. Once we were in our car I took off my shoes and uttered a sigh of relief… suddenly I noticed all three of my friends rolling down the windows in frenzy and gasping for air. That was it I put my shoes on.

Of the 300 pictures taken, this is the second most beautiful. That’s Eiffel tower on the left and the hotel/casino is called Paris. The inside is really beautiful. Floors are made out of bricks and lamp posts are really classy. Even the ceiling is painted to appear like sky and a few clouds scattered around. As you are taking a stroll on the streets of “Paris”, to your right and left you will find various designer shops and people dining at restaurants casually. I got a taste of Paris without having to go there.

That’s Hoover Dam.

I asked why half of those rocks were covered white. They say it’s the salt! When the water level gradually subsides it leaves salt on the surface of rocks.

This is the most beautiful part of Hoover dam. Just wanted to stand there and keep staring at the scenery. Honestly I didn’t like Las Vegas as much as I liked Hoover dam. Reason was less people more nature! I like to observe nature and get close to it. It is amazing how men carved out this enormous structure.
