aik pal ko mein bhi sashdar-o-hairan reh gaye
woh jaa chuka to jism mein kion jaan reh gaye

mujhe ko to us gahre bhi tera itebaar tha
jub akhree umeed bhi mehmaan reh gaye

bechara hai jub say yad bhi kam aa rah hai woh
yeh zindagee to aur bhi asa’n reh gayee

*abad thee mein teray qadam kay nisha’n talak
jub tu guzra gaya to mein sunsaan reh gaye

tu nay hunr kay sath mitia nahi mujhay
mujhe mein to teray aksa ke pehchaan reh gaye*

yeh shaam bhi bohut hai tere nasbatoon kay sath
jo dil mein lay kay vasl ka imkaan reh gaye**
