[font=Courier New]It is claimed by present rulers that corruption in Pakistan has decreased. Theoretically it might be right but fact is only mode and shape has changed. I was working in the office of a very high tax authority. He was a good nice man he was promoted and transferred elsewhere. As is usual a lot reached in the office before the new comer arrived. One thing about him was that he is very strict, very honest, 5 times a day prayer. When he arrived on introduction we saw a big “mehrab” on his forehead a sign of his prayers. He was very honest and did not take any rishwat. It was true because he really did not take any cash rishwat his way was different. He would tell the area tax man he needs a refrigerator and it would reach his home. And technically he did not get himself any rishwat. As traditions have changed as today a father presents his son a cigarette lighter, like wise rishwat has changed shape. Extended retirement age to judge, allotment of civic amenity plots on cheap rates to politicians like Sindh Minister Shaikh Imtiaz, appointment of sons and daughters on very high salaries, closing eyes from illegal activities of corrupt like Minister Wasi Zafar’s beating at airport a passenger and a waiter are all new shapes of rishwat.

[font=Courier New] Minister of Labour Manpower and Overseas Pakistani Ghulam Sarwar Khan and Minister for Petroleum Naseer Khan Mengal recently went to U.A.E on official visit. U.A.E rulers presented both Rolex watches priced at Rs. 550,000 each. Under the law these were to be deposited with the Government as those were received as official guests. Naseer Mengal wrote a letter to so called financial wizard Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz that Minister may be allowed to keep this watch as personal. The financial wizard forgetting that gift of nation but knowing well he himself had no political hold of his own in Pakistan, to keep his chair strong as a rishwat allowed the Minister to keep the watch by only paying Rs. 20,000 as against Rs. 550,000. How could the other Minister bear this he made a similar petition and Prime Minister obliged him. I understand that there is some system under which some citizen can file a society interest case in supreme court He does not need to appear himself. As a citizen I want to file a complaint on this corruption. This is a looting and aiding the looters. The so called financial wizard prime minister forget that when U.A.E rulers will visit Pakistan they would be presented similar valuable gifts which will be purchased from national exchequer. The cost of these gifts will be born by us in shape of new taxes and surcharges and at that time the prime minister will not ask Ghulam Sarwar or Naseer Mengal to purchase these gifts from their own pockets. But I do not know the procedure how such a petition can be filed. I know there are some community spirited advocates like M.D. Tahir, one Mr. Afzal Haider etc but I do not know where to find them. I am ready to bear their reasonable fee and expense. Can anybody advise how to do this and how to reach these Advocates. No one should expect that any so called NGOs, citizens societies foundations committee, citizen welfare bodies, so called opposition leaders, Muslim league or PPP or any Insaaf Tehrik will ever speak on such real damaging issues. Their motos are different but in such type of looting there are one. S.M. Zafar has well said nothing will change unless people will themselves fight and struggle. If any courageous person can guide me how to reach S.C in a simplest possible way.
