While Cricinfo only mentions the matter briefly in their day’s report, an injury to the head is never to be taken lightly. Shahzad is under observation. Hope and pray that he recovers fully and recovers soon. He was dizzy after being hit, which means he suffered a concussion. He was able to walk off the field, but the next 48 hours are crucial.

O man, thats scary.. reminds me of Javed Miandad's missed hook shot from dennis lillie and he fall down and started throwing up. But this one looks more scary. Someone from medical prof perhaps may tell us more about "depressed" fracture

That does not look good though in previous instances batsmen have been hit on helmet or even directly (3 instances I remember are Gary Kirsten, Brian Lara, and Johan Botha ... all by Shoaib Akhtar) but they all recovered or played on, all prayers and best wishes with Ahmed Shahzad.

I believe it is the helemt that hurt rather the ball. Some sharp area stuck . May Allah give him full recovery. Though YK told in yesterday's press conference that he had to take rest of 6 weeks.
