The Shudhi movement was a vicious attack on Islam waged by a Militant Hindu group known as Arya Samaj. Their target was a relatively poor and uneducated group of muslims called Malkanas in the united Province of India.
Now lets see how Jamat-e-Ahmadiyya fought against that movement.
** Of all the Islamic groups working in
an effort to stop the Malkana Rajputs
from re-joining their old Rajput
brethren, the efforts of the jamat-e-Ahmadiyya are worthy of praise for their enthusiasm and hard work. (Arya Patrika, April1, 1923) **
Mashriq Of Gorakhpur Wrote:
** The Jamat-e-Ahmadiyya has hit very hard at the hindu philosophy. The sencerity with which the jamat-e-Ahmadiyya is propagating Islam and printing literature is not found in other communities. (Mashriq March 15, 1923) **
Even Zamindar, known for its opposition to Ahmadiyyat could not resist the acknowledging the facts.
** The report which have been published about the apostasy, make it clear that the ahmadis are rendering invaluable services for the sake of Islam. The selflessnes, the resolve, the sincerity of motives, the firm faith in God, is worth of unlimited respect and gratitude, if not unparalleled. Our renowned pirs and hereditary saints were unmoved and did not budge an inch; but this community set an example of an unparalleled act of service. (Zamindar, June 24 1923) **
Another Non-Ahmadi wrote in Zamindar
** The Qadiani Ahmadis are showing great selflessness. They have about 100 Volunteers working in different villages under the leadership of their appointed amirs. Their services are outstanding. All of them work without any allowance or travel expanse. We are not Ahmadis, but cannot refrain from appreciating their outstanding services. The selflessness that they have shownis not seen in anyone except the the early muslims. Every one of their Muballighs, whether rich or poor has come to the battle field without any expense or allowance. In extreme heat and under the scroching sun, they were serving under the leader ship of their amirs. (Sheikh Ghulam Husain, Head Master High School Jhelum, June 29, 1923) **
