Re: Ahl E Hadith
None of you folks know what Ahl-e-hadith is or who the Wahabis are. It's sad.
Wahabis and Ahl-e-Hadith are interchangeable terms. There is no difference as far as ideology is concerned.
Some asked if "wahabis" differ from "sunnis."
First of all, wahabis (as they are called by other people) do not believe in sects and divisions that have damaged Islam for centuries. There is no fundamental difference between SUnnis and so called Wahabis. However, there are some issues where BRAILVIES and so called "wahabis" differ. These issues although debatable are very serious and have resulted in clashes between BRAILVIES and so called "wahabis."
Some of those differences and issues:
Brailvies openly preach:
-Praying to the graves
-Asking dead imams and dead saints for help
-going to the mazaars and asking the dead folks for help or asking them to ask allah to help them.
-Call azaan with different begin and a different end.
-Gheyaaarveeen sharifs (feast held on 11th of each month to please some earthly so called imam or saint)
-Khatam sharifs (where a quranic para is assigned to some individuals and they receit quran in attempt to finish it)
-Deny that Mohammad (pbuh) was a HUMAN and A MAN and source of inspiration for all mankind. They say he was "noor" noor as in LIght. But, as quran and common sense tells us, Mohammad (pbuh) was a source of GUIDANCE, source of light but not actually a "light/noor."
These are some of the things that BRAILVIES do which do not belong in Islam and were NEVER practiced, sanctioned or upheld by Prophet himself or his followers.
Actually, these are some of the things people of jahiliya were doing before Islam and before Abdul wahab set out to talk on these issues when they were being done during his era in middle east. Arabs were actually praying to graves and trees and asking dead for help other than Allah. It's sad, how much ignorant fools we have around us, even today who do not know the actual history and the real facts.
