I remember a friend they interviewed, he was a fresh grad from a fellowship program in cardiology and they rejected him just because he hadn’t gotten US citizenship yet, it was a few months away. But they did tell him to get in touch as soon as he got awarded the citizenship. Needless to say my friend never looked back.
