Ahad - boys name

Hi everyone~

just wanted to get some input about the name Ahad??

What do you guys think. Hubby and I are very confused on a name as we are trying to stick to a name that will be easy to pronounce (we both had a hard time with our names)

let me know!

doing my research , this is what is what i found

he name selected for the child must be other than a name of Allah; thus, it should not be Ahad, Khaliq or Razzaq. It is permissible, however, to name the child Abdul Ahad, Abdus Samad or any other name of Allah compounded with Abdul.

so that name is out of the question i guess!

We thought of Ahad for our son too. Bt yes u can not have without abdul or something else with it.

Bt I have heard this name as it is alot in pak

names like Ahad, Khaaliq, Razzaq are all fine…Allah’s name starts with AL [the] … that is a name Al-Ahad, Al-Khaaliq, Al_Razzaq will NOT be allowed because they are Allah’s names [rather attributes]. ok?
