Poetry is the matter of interpretation. If this shair is interpreted as besides offering prayers and performing other religious duties, one should be aware whats going on around you and take the steps according to the benefit of your community, then I do agree to this shair.

I read when Mongols were attacking Baghdad, some scholars from different sects were busy in arguing petty differences between sects and some scholars were busy doing khatam of Bukhari Shareef, instead of creating awareness amongst the masses about the danger that Mongols were going to pose on their personal and religious affairs.

Yes that can be interpreted too. Zulm sehna bhi zulm ka sath dena hota hai, baqol Qateel Shifai:

Mei ne to 'Qateel' Uss sa Munafiq nahi dekha
Jo Zulm to Sehta hai Baghawat Nahi karta

Qateel saheb wanted to say that biggest hypocrisy in the world is to bear cruelty silently without raising any voice or not being rebellious to cruelty.

Allah unkee madad karta hai joph apni madad aap kartey hain. Sirf dua karney say kuch nahin hota, aap apni hifazat ka intezaam karein Allah aap kee madad karey ga aap kee hifazat kay sabab paida karey ga.

Meray nazdeek iss shair ka matlab hai apna kaam khud karo akeley dua karney say kuch nahin hoga.
