I read somewhere in one of Dan Browns novels ‘a youthful soul trapped in a mortal shell’. Do you think you’ll grow up to be one of them people. Even though i’m a good 9 months away from 25 i think i can relate to all the old fogeys out there who sigh fondly at old memories as if they’d just occured a second ago, and all those people who feel ‘young at heart’. Wouldn’t it be nice to stay youthful forever.
Re: Age
a woman publicly stating her age?? OMG...is this fo real?
Re: Age
I think everyone in their 24-27 goes through the same thoughts and feelings as you are. You see changes in yourself, your thinking, body-wise, how you take things, see this world or life and how you respond to others, evaluation of your acts start in the same time period. Myself and many people I know have tasted the growing age or smelled the peak and then foreseen inevitable downhill at that stage. One and I think only way to cope with it to be positive and move on with the lives. However, there is a big oppertunity of reviewing the past, correcting oneself and move on. Memories will follow you the whole life, but we need to get something out of it.
Re: Age
someone once said "youth is wasted on the young"
and how right they were
Duckette, Dan brown probably stole that phrase from someone else....like he did his story!
Re: Age

Re: Age
People always think I am older than I really am. I am partly to blame because I always say I am older than I am.
I dont think I will think of myself as young at heart when I am older, because half the time I dont even remember how old I am.
I dont know why, but I just dont perceive myself as a young adult. I dont think I am mature, as I sometimes portray myself to be to outsiders. I think I have a lot to learn and will never consider myself older and wiser. smile
Re: Age
It DEPENDS. Not to brag or anything but I look younger than my age and yes I am mature and feel lively active and young from heart. Yes, at times when stress hits you then begin to actually tal about the moments of childhood, free of all stress!
Re: Age
the only not to grow old is to die…you got to make up your mind about what you prefer and ajust your lifestyle accordingly…
youth is fine but life ain’t forever…i’m not egoist i know other young peple have to take my place so i leave it to them with open heart:hug:
Re: Age
only 25? u DO realize u are still young?! 0-10 yrs doesnt really count since we have no idea what the hell we are doing....
Re: Age
I still don't feel old enough to look back at my "youth" years fondly. I am not sure when the point will come when I will say to myself "man I feel old - it is time to mellow down - back in my day we did etc etc.". It hasn't happened yet. Maybe when I hit 40 I might feel old physically. Mentally, I think a person grows with each experience.
Re: Age
Ah, bite me, old fogeys. Do you know how fast a decade goes by?
Re: Age
i think after 21 n esp 25 everything goes downhill in terms of how old u feel........i honestly forget my age
and after 30 i'm sure u think ok i'm over the hill so it doesn't matter how old i am now!!!
i'll let u lot know when i'm over the hill!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Age
forever 21 ![]()
Re: Age
staying young.
Re: Age
youthful :)
Re: Age
I'm long out of my 20's. thats all I'll say on THAT topic. But suffice it to say that no matter how old I get, I still feel at heart like 20's and am surprised when I look back at how far ago those days really were. Not that I behave like an immature idiot but everyone tends to feel like they felt in their "heydays" yeah?
Re: Age
what is so appealing about the college years to mid twenties...? its the time when people become independent, start living their own lives and in most acses with no responsibilities at all or responsibilities only for themselves. thats when a lot of self discovery also takes place..not to add the first exposure for many to the type of fun and all that they could nto have had if they were not independent.
as you groe older and the responsibilities of career, family ad all arrive, you may get so lost in them that you stop doign things that you enjoy but you always have that ability.
I know people who got married and 2 years later they started acting like total boring typical desi uncles..and these are guys younger than me. On the other hand I know guys who have grown older but have not lost their sens eof humour and are a blast to hang out with, are always trying new things, and enjoying life. yes there is a blance to be struck with family and career responsibilities, but it does not mean life ends.
