yea. Its difficult, cause if you are such good friends, there needs to be a level of chemistry there to begin with.
You can be friends. But underlying tension (however residual), usually exists.

Possible if you can assure that never once would you let the thought of getting physically or otherwise attracted to that person, cross your mind. But I do not know if anyone can do that in practice.

I think its possible…but I have a feeling I would be ordered to cut ties with al my male friends…have toooooo many guy friends…coz their all nutty in a funny way

Yep I think it's perfectly fine and do-able for guys and ladies to be just friends, with the right friend gender becomes obsolete and you respect eachother for one another's qualities. Developing further feelings are not that common from my experience. As far as SO's, partners etc getting uncomfortable or misinterpreting this bond- alot more common and a massive headache that a bit of trust would overcome. Though I do see where the initial problem would come from between a partner misunderstanding a relationship with a friend of opposite sex, conversation, reassurance and communication should be enough to stop it.

We have friends together, both genders. I do have male friends and he has female friends. But there's no one who is a woman and only his friend and no one who is a man and only my friend.

This sounds interesting. Guys and Gals can be friends if only they know their limits. But this is also a fact that u never know when ur in love with your guy friend. It all depends on how you think and move about in your daily life. or until and unless both have common friends, that would be easy. Overall anyone can b friends. You can be friend with an old person or a small kid too.
