age gap...too much??

Re: age gap...too much??

i like the age gap. A friend of mine..her husband is 10 yrs older than she is and mashAllah they are very happy.

Re: age gap...too much??

more than age, you have to see where you guys are in life. If he wants to have kids soon and you're not ready then yes, the age difference is going to be a major factor. If he's young, you have the time to get settled into married life and adjust to your new life without having to rush into having kids before you both get "too old". Your level of compatibility is the important part. Though it IS somewhat correlated with age (old guys tend to be more mature), the number of years between you guys is really just a number...the only reason people shy away from huge age gaps is because you're usually at two very very different stages of your life.

Re: age gap…too much??

My hubby-to-be is 7 years older & trust me he has seen all those cartoons much more than I have. He is still crazy for their animated movies & what not.

Its more of compatibility.

Re: age gap…too much??

**methinks she was poking fun :hehe:

anyhoo even a 10 yr age gap isnt a big deal if the two are compatible**

Re: age gap...too much??

i agree age gaps do not matter if two are compatible and have understanding of each other

Me and my hubby have 10 year age gap and we have been married 9 years and still going strong - Mash' allah :)

Re: age gap...too much??

tell that to a woman above 35.

Re: age gap...too much??

I second that. My hubby to be is 8 years older than me and its great, I get to be a drama queen and stuff and he'll put up with it cos he;s sweet like that.
And we ALWAYS talk about all the cartoons we watched together as kids, and usually its the same. Its not like he was born in another century with no TVs or computers and they just played with wheels all day.

Re: age gap...too much??

u know wat i dun think that the age difference is wayyyyyyy tooo much....if the guy is nice and u like him and u guys understand each other i think u shudnt be bothered by the age...i have a friend who is 24 as well and her husband is 32 and they;ve been married for 2 yrs now...they get along very well ...she's kinda kiddish but he gives her stability .....he makes her look at things from another perspective...!!!
neway the last decision is yours ...we r not here to influence ure answer but jus to give u an idea through our experiences
