age gap in siblings

anybody has a brother or sister thats atleast 9-10 years older or younger? do you guys get along well? if not, how much do you think age gap contributes to it and in what ways?

the difference between my eldest bro and youngest sis is 10 yrs......and those two are actually the best of buddies....always fighting and laughing etc! :D

My sis is about 11 years younger. Baby of the family and will prob. remain so in the future.

My bro and I get along great with her. She prefers us over our parents when it comes to staying home alone or summer vacations.

As far as the age gap is concerned, I think there is a huge difference in raising a couple of children at once compared to having a baby when the other children have grown up.

She relies on us when it comes to school, friends, source of entertainment, etc. My parents don't seem to have the same interest (although they try their best) as they had with us.

I don't think our family could've been complete without the lil angel. Prime source of joy! It's great observing the lil things she picks up as she grows.

my youngest sister.. my toto :o... love her so much + she is my jaan *smile

but the one in high school who just turned 17 is a bit pain in the rear end

well, age gaps do matter,i think the lesser age gap u have the more closer u are, with a big age gap its hard to know each other very well.me n my siblings dont have huge age gaps not as big as 10 years so we all get along quite well "most of the time"

12 year difference between my younger brother and I. He's 17. We get along fine.

Yes, my youngest sibling is 10 years younger to me..and eventhough that he drives me nuts at times by copy catting every action i do to annoy me that i am about to cry..but still i love him so much and we get along very very well :)

I think just coz of him i was able to live another childhood in my late teens...i owe him a lot..i learnt so much about baby sitting when he was born..he was my living toy..and i enjoyed my time in teen years more than before teen years just coz of him :)

I’m 28, my brother is 25, sisters are 18 and 15. As you can see, there’s a 13 year age gap between me and my yougest sis. She’s the baby of the family though adored by all while I’m the responsible, perfect daughter. The middle sis is quiet and laid back while bro is a typical guy who’s still trying to find direction in life after recently graduating from college. Can’t complain though…we make a nice family though mash’allah. :sunny:

Not necessarily at all, infact a lesser age gap can lead to the complete opposite of 'being close'

Trust me, i'd know.

umm i have a love-hate relationship with my brother..hehe.. does that make sense?.. we have 3 years of gap.. he is annoying at a times.. sometimes i just hate him..we fight a lot.. but when we have same motive..we work together ;) we also help each other.. i guess we care too, discuss lot of things.. i dont know.. okay i dont know if i love him or hate him now :(

my youngest bro is 8 years younger then i am… so far … he is the baby of the family even if he’ll b turning 17 pretty soon …

my eldest bro is 13 years older then me,
my sister 9 years older then me...

although I am not that close to them,
we can get along fine..... :) ( wel most of the times then :) )

I am the baby of the house. My eldest brother is about 15 years older than me.

He always cared for me but the other middle siblings always bossed me around

We’re four siblings, me being the ‘special’ second child  22, 21, 20 and 18, respectively. I wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re all best buddies; with mutual friends.. it’s awesome.

Speaking of age gap, my mom’s a couple of decades older than me, but we’re very close, she rocks.

There's a large gap between us older siblings and the youngest one. Us three are a year apart, and the youngest one is 10 years younger. At times, we forget that there's such a big gap. He and my other bro are like best friends. It's hard to tell that he's so many years younger. We all get along pretty well. I think it varies from person to person. Say, if a person has a very mature thinking, then he/she would probably find it hard to communicate with a much younger person on the same level. I guess it's that would be called a mental gap.
We joke around with each other all the time and get along pretty well.

sachi?awwwwww,hope it gets beeter 4 u:)

Yes, SPECIAL indeed.

My only brother is 10 years younger, and being with him gets weird at times, especially because I have been away from home for quite some time now and didn’t see him growing up. He’s 14 now, and sometimes he tells me things which leave me confused as to how to react to them, no details. It would have been nice if he had not grown up. It’s always nice to have a toy in home.
