I just wanna know what you guys think is the
- ideal age difference between two siblings?
- Whats the age difference between ur children? How do u find it? stressful?

I had mine very close in age. First boy, then 2nd boy 14 mos later and 3rd boy 18 mos after that. It was really tough in the beginning, when they were all in diapers and all needed to be fed etc. But as they grew, things get easier for me and they are SUCH good friends. I dont need really to arrange play-dates for them because we have a play-date of 3 boys every day. I DO get stressed from time to time and feel like I should be wearing a referee uniform and have a heavy-duty whistle to blow lol. But for the most part, it is SUCH a blessing to have them so close and to see how much they love each other.

i think the ideal age gap should be between 2-4 years…
my bro is 2 n half years younger than me n there is a big age gap between me n my sister! I’ve alwayz seen her as a mother figure rather than a sister ..especially wen i was younger …but now we’re more like friendz…which is gud coz i looked and still do look up to her …but i think fewer yrs gap means, u grow up together as friendz n ur on the same level, mentally etc but then again sometimes itz better to hav a bigger age gap, so u hav a sense of security from the elder siblingz…theres advantages to both…but i would still conclude fewer age gap is better …

i feel like having them all so close in age together will be a blessing when they're older.... but i can imagine, when they're very young how stressful it can be!

I think there should be a difference of atleast 2 yrs between your kids because otherwise it not only gets hard for you to manage but the elder one might not get as much attention as he/she deserves :).
With us siblings we have 2-3 years difference and i am told by my mom than even than we use to be so hard to manage but Mashallah se it worked out great for us.

difference between me and my siblings is huge....my eldest sis is 15 years older than me.

My parents had perfect family planning, I was born after 4 years of their marriage, then my bro after 3 years of me and then my sis after 4 years of him lol

I think it is a personal choice.
Some people prefer age gaps b/w their kids because they would like to spend individual time with them...the first 5 years are the most impressionable and their brain works on overdrive during these yrs...they absorb so much.
Some like to have 1.5-2 yrs age gaps because they find it easier to raise them all at once while they are going through similar stages of development and similar interests. Also you get over the "baby making" phase quickly and get on with YOUR life.
My sisters are much older then me. My eldest sister being 12 yrs older and the middle sister being 8 yrs older. They were best friends and did everything together. I always felt like I was alone :( My sisters were more of a mother figure to me while I was young. Although now we are like best friends Alhamdulillah.
For this reason, I personally wouldnt want a big age gap b/w my kids...i would prefer 2 yrs difference. It's stressful but it'll be worth it because they can play together and share the same interests.

lookin at ppl around me and also with there being only a 14 month age gap between my kid bro and me, i think its safe to say kids with little age gap between them, sort of begin to think of the other as an early or late twin... and therefore ultra close to each other.. i get along with my kid bro better than my older bro who is 3 yrs older than me... ive noticed this with other ppl i have met who have little age gap between them and another sibling.. they all say how they have the best relationship with each other..
my older bro and i have a 3 yr gap, my kid bro and i have a 14 month gap.. then my kid sister is a late child.. who was born 8 yrs after my kid bro... the poor thing always felt left out.. its gotten better now that she is a teenager... but i think 2 yrs between births is great for the kids... as for the mommies... TUFFEN IT UP :d it can be hard.. but its doable.. granted ure health permits it :)

am 20 and then have 4 siblings, 17, 13, 9, 6
you know I LOVE IT except for the pressure of being an older brother and those responsibilities. anyway, i feel lucky. :)

My 2 kids have 4 and a half years between them and its great! The elder oen helped with the baby when she was born and I didn't have to wake up with 2 kids in one night as the older one was sleeping through the night before she was born. Yes, its a resonal choice but I like having a reasonabble gap between kids.

Shouldn't be one after the other. I'd prefer 2 kids, a boy 'n a girl. Secondly someone try telling our ghareeb awaam back home to stop having loads of kids. They barely make ends meet and then they have to think about 6 - 7 of their kids.
